Chapter 114: The Machine Factory
Chapter 114: The Machine Factory
The next day, the group got up early and arrived at the government building again.
Angell, who had been there once before, led the way directly to the relevant department.
Angell, a geological consultant and mining lawyer, handed over the prepared documents with practiced ease.
The first step is to obtain initial access qualifications, which is the key to exploration and applying for mining permits. Although it doesn't have much use for Jason, it is a major step.
The second step is to apply for a mining lease. This step is crucial and must include a detailed work plan and environmental management scheme. For Angell, who has been dealing with these departments for a long time, this is not difficult.
The third step is development approval, obtaining a development license. Usually, once you get to this step, there are almost no more problems.
The fourth step, environmental authorization, is crucial!
In addition, there are various departments to deal with, such as property rights and land access, financial and technical capability verification, land use planning, and so on.
Even though Angell took on most of the work, Jason was exhausted by the end of the day.
In the hotel restaurant, Jason, looking exhausted, asked, "Angol, how much longer?"
"It will take about ten more days. There's a lot of paperwork to fill out today, but less later," Angel replied, swallowing the food in his mouth.
"Sigh~"
Jason sighed heavily; the delicious food in front of him suddenly seemed tasteless.
Angell put down his knife and fork, wiped his mouth with a napkin, and asked with a gleam in his eyes, "Boss, after the mine opens, would it be convenient for me to visit it?"
"Go if you want, feel free to visit." Jason said dismissively.
He understood Angell's idea perfectly well; he simply wanted to verify it and, incidentally, see if he could discover his own method for finding minerals.
Jason said he didn't care.
Over the next few days, Angell led the way, with Dolino driving, and the group shuttled back and forth between the state government and the town.
"Phew, finally finished!"
After thirteen days of work, Jason was so exhausted that he collapsed into a chair, completely drained.
"Boss, it seems I've completed my mission."
Angell sat opposite Jason, with a backpack beside him containing his personal belongings.
"You're leaving?" After a moment of silence, Jason sighed. Clearly, the outcome was already obvious.
"Yeah, right." Angell shrugged, patted his backpack, and laughed, "Now that we've found the mine, my mission is complete."
"Okay~"
All good things must come to an end. Jason knew this, and so did Angell; after all, they were just employers and employees.
"Contact me anytime if anything happens," she said, giving Angel a hug.
Angell laughed and said, "Don't worry, boss, I'll definitely be back once your mine starts operating."
After a brief farewell, Angell slung his backpack over his shoulder and disappeared into the crowd on the street.
After resting in the hotel lobby for a while, Jason returned to his room and took out his phone to call Little Hart and the others.
"Hey, it's me, Jason. How's the preparation going on your end?"
"Boom boom boom~"
A burst of machine noise came through the phone, and Little Hart on the other end couldn't help but shout, "Jason, everything's almost ready, except we haven't found the mining machine yet. All the other equipment is ready."
"Great!" Jason laughed. "Little Hart, I've finished the formalities here. You can bring your equipment in now."
"No problem, we'll arrange for us to enter today!"
After hanging up the phone, Little Hart grinned and kept saying "yes."
"Ada, Corinna, get ready to go in! Jason's paperwork is done!" Little Hart urged, jumping up and down.
While things were busy over there, Jason wasn't idle either. Excavators, bulldozers, and other equipment were all ready, but the ore washing machine was the most important thing.
"Hey Anna, do you have an office in Mildura? Could you help me find some ore washing equipment?" Jason remained silent when he heard the sound of papers turning over on the other end.
About two minutes later, Anna's voice came through the phone: "Mr. Jason, I'm sorry, we don't have an office in Mildura right now, but we do have a client there who works in this industry."
Jason nodded and said, "Okay, just send me their phone number in a bit."
Soon after hanging up, a number was sent to Jason's phone via text message, which he dialed directly.
"Hello, this is Muster Machinery Factory. What can I do for you?" The voice was hoarse and rough, but the words were crisp and clear.
Jason cut to the chase and asked directly, "Hello, I need ore washing equipment. Do you have any in stock?"
There was a moment of silence on the other end of the phone, followed by a deep sigh; clearly, the question left him speechless.
Muster explained, "We don't have new equipment. Apart from used ones, all new ore washing equipment requires a production cycle, so you'll have to wait. If you're interested in purchasing, you can come to the factory to discuss it in detail."
"How long will it take to complete the new equipment?" Jason then asked.
"It depends on your needs. If the equipment is complex, it will take longer; if the equipment is simple, it will take less time."
"Furthermore, there are many types of ore washing equipment, such as drum washing machines, spiral washing machines, vibrating washing machines, dry washing machines, and so on."
"You need to clearly define the characteristics of your mining area, then select the appropriate ore washing equipment, and then clarify your production needs, such as how much soil needs to be processed per day, how much water flow needs to be achieved, etc., and then select the corresponding scale parameters."
When it came to the professional aspects, Muster gave Jason a brief explanation.
After a brief discussion, Jason noted down the location of Muster Machinery Factory and arranged a time to meet.
"What a tiring life~" Jason put his phone on the table and lay down on the bed.
Jason felt tired when he was broke, and still tired when he had money. He felt like he was being a bit of a masochist.
Lost in thought, Jason fell into a deep sleep. The ten days or so of running around had exhausted him.
In another room, Cass and his two companions were editing footage and sending it to headquarters. Meanwhile, producer Jon informed them of the show's broadcast time.
Half a year has passed since production began. Originally, post-production would have started as soon as the Bering Sea project was finished, but Jason went to Australia. Everyone discussed his situation for a long time.
When Jason woke up the next day, Cass told him the news.
"Mr. Jason, the program 'Gold Rush in the Bering Sea' has been completed and is scheduled to air on the 5th of next month, March 5th. There will be a total of 12 episodes, one episode per week."
"At the same time, since you've come to Australia, your program will be a little longer, and the last two episodes will feature entirely your scenes."
Cass explained the details to Jason to avoid any misunderstandings later.
Jason was taken aback, and exclaimed in surprise, "So fast?!"
It was only 06, and he didn't expect it to be completed so early, but he was relieved when he thought about the filming time of the program.
Cass asked, "Mr. Jason, do you have any objections to the program's airtime?"
"No, you misunderstood. It's just that I feel you guys are quite efficient." Jason's words dispelled Cass's concerns.
The cameras are still filming as usual. As long as they don't receive any notification, they will continue to work normally. Everything will depend on the ratings after the program airs!
If the ratings are good, they get promoted and receive a raise, and the show continues to be filmed as usual.
If the ratings are abysmal, then they will...
After checking out and leaving, Jason and his group headed straight for their destination—Muster Machinery Factory.
The factory is located not far from the town of Mildura, about 50 kilometers away, which takes about half an hour to drive along the highway.
The factory area is surrounded by tall trees, with layers of greenery spreading along the roads and riverbanks, and the leaves rustling in the wind.
A clear stream meanders by, its waters gurgling and reflecting the blue sky and the shadows of the trees, while green grass grows lushly on its banks.
The factory is partially hidden among the layers of green trees, where strength and gentleness blend perfectly.
The tree-lined avenue is lush and green, and sunlight filters through the layers of leaves, casting gentle dappled patterns on the ground. As cars drive by, the interplay of light and shadow creates a beautiful scene.
At the end of the road, a huge factory came into view. Inside, the sounds of welding and machinery echoed, and the words "Muster Machinery Factory" were neatly written on the right side of the gate.
In the parking space, a crane was carefully hoisting the brand-new, wrapped machinery onto the vehicle, with workers constantly directing the operation to prevent any accidents.
Upon being greeted by the staff, Jason said directly, "Hello, I'm Jason. I had an appointment with Mr. Muster yesterday."
"Okay, please come in. Our boss is in the workshop now."
As you walk further in, the roaring sounds are mixed with the sizzling of cutting, accompanied by sparks flying everywhere, and the air is filled with the smell of iron filings, steel, and the faint burnt smell of welding.
The space is very high, with overhead cranes suspended from the roof, and steel beams and pipes crisscrossing the area.
The floor was dark gray cement, with iron filings flying everywhere, and parts and tools were neatly arranged on the workbench.
The overhead crane moved slowly overhead, the hook swaying back and forth, and the workers, dressed in overalls, wearing safety helmets, gloves, and earplugs, were busy at work.
Muster spotted Jason among the crowd, extended his hand, and said, "Hello, I'm Muster, the boss here. You must be Mr. Jason. It's a bit noisy here, let's go to my office to talk things over."
Jason extended his hand and smiled, "No problem, I'll go along with whatever you say."
His hands were large and thick, with large knuckles covered in calluses. His exposed forearms were very strong, and the muscle lines were very obvious when he clenched his fists.
Wearing a dark blue work uniform, with machine oil, iron filings, and dust on the cuffs and trouser legs, he looked every bit like a frontline worker.
If you didn't know, no one would guess that this rugged-looking middle-aged man is the owner of this factory.
