Chapter 143: Taking Back What Is Yours!!
Chapter 143: Taking Back What Is Yours!!
Raiden ran as fast as his legs could carry him from between all the giant wolves before finally reaching Woolie’s side and kneeling beside him.
"Wool..." Is that you, human? Heh... I knew you would come...
Raiden’s heart broke hearing the exhaustion in his voice.
"I am here, buddy. Don’t worry, you can take some rest. I’ll get both of us out of here." Raiden petted Woolie’s head, who closed his eyes in exhaustion, passing out.
Seeing this, Raiden did not say anything more, just picked him up directly, before looking at the infinite number of wolves surrounding him, who just stood there and watched it all happen.
"You are nothing more than a broken consciousness. Let me and my partner out of here, and that way, you might survive a little longer. Otherwise, heh..."
Raiden sneered as he looked at them without fear. He wasn’t afraid of the huge numbers at all because he had the back support to rely on.
"You pathetic human dares to speak that way to me?! Do you even know who I am, boy?! I have devoured your ancestral gods!! I am a God Devourer!!!" The same one voice echoed throughout the wild lands as all the wolves opened their mouths at once, putting pressure directly on him.
"Some God Devourer you are, ganging up on a cute little sheep like that. If this is how you hunted down the gods, there is no wonder you went extinct, and no one has heard of you anymore."
ROARRR!!!
It looked like Raiden’s point hit where it hurts as all the wolves rushed at him together, intent on tearing him and Woolie to pieces.
Raiden just stood there calmly watching them approach him, getting nearer and nearer until they were just a few inches away, before he opened his mouth again.
"Aunt Ruby, get us out of here!!"
The result was immediate.
As soon as he finished speaking, a dome of blood formed out of his body, enveloping and protecting both Woolie and Raiden inside of it. Outside, countless wolves roared and attacked that small Blood Dome together, trying to break it apart, but their attacks seemed to have no effect on it, directly sinking inside of it as soon as they hit it and disappeared.
They kept attacking it for a few minutes, but that dome of blood refused to budge, showing no signs of change at all. Seeing this, all the wolves stopped their attack together.
Just when it looked like it would turn into a stalemate, countless small spikes started forming on its surface before they blasted off with an unseen force, directly piercing through thousands of wolves, shredding them to bits instantly.
The next second, all the blood droplets that flew away started gathering together once again and formed a crimson python that coiled around the dome of blood.
"You meddling wretch!! You have been interfering in my affairs outside, now as well as inside! Who are you?! What do you want?! Why are you protecting these pathetic creatures?!!" The wolves let out a guttural roar, their voices full of anger.
"These childrenn you call patheticc are my familyy. Scramm out of heree, you relicc of a bygone eraa, or I will find all yourr descendants in the worldd and make them disappearr, leaving you with no chancee of everr coming back." Aunt Ruby spoke in a cold and arrogant tone, her golden eyes shining with power and violence.
"You can’t do anything to me!! If you try to kill me, this child will be crippled too!! You don’t dare to erase my existence, do you? Rah!!!!"
All the wolves advanced against her once again, with even more new species and breeds of wolves arriving, seemingly infinite in number, ready to throw down against her for eternity.
"Sincee you wish to hurtt my familyy, be preparedd to drown in the Sea Of Crimson~"
A pulse of crimson blood swept out like a small tide, dissolving all the wolves down to blood on contact and ever increasing in size.
In just a few seconds, the small tide of blood evolved into a tsunami covering over the heavens themselves.
"Curse you, you wench!!! You might win this time and suppress me, but how many times can you do it? Sooner or later, his body will be mine!! Gurrararararara!!!"
The blood tide didn’t pause at all as it devoured the whole inner world of the wolf, leaving nothing but an ocean of blood all around, and that voice echoing in its wake.
"As long as I livee, you will not hurtt my familyy." Ruby’s voice rang out in the void before her clone vanished, leaving behind Woolie and Raiden in the sea of blood and darkness.
Raiden looked around to see the devastation around him and secretly felt shocked by it. He couldn’t grasp the depth of his Aunt Ruby’s power, or he had no idea at what level these Mythical Terra Beasts actually played at.
Then something miraculous happened. A small tornado of power, made up of Blood Red Flames and Cracking Violet Thunder, formed over their heads, growing stronger and fiercer every second. It all came crashing down a few seconds later, directly into Woolie’s body.
Raiden looked down at Woolie, who was resting in his hands, and his wounds healing in front of his eyes, his heartbeat growing stronger and stronger.
Before long, the storm of flame and thunder grew so fierce it threw him out, leaving behind Woolie, his small body floating in the air, accepting all this power and growing more apocalyptic by the minute.
"AWWOOO!!"
The process got interrupted in the middle as a howl of the primordial wolf rang out, forming a dark shadow over his body, making Woolie’s face scrunch up in pain.
"Wool!!" Woolie let out a painful cry. His body was trembling from the mental assault.
The consciousness wasn’t content to give up so soon, leaving behind this final trick to take over his body.
"Oh no, you don’t!!" Raiden rushed over in the middle of the storm. As soon as he walked inside, his body started disintegrating into shreds, with nothing but pain flooding his consciousness.
This pain wasn’t physical, but much deeper, as the storm was tearing directly at his soul. But he didn’t give up walking step by step until he was near Woolie’s floating body and hugged him tightly to his chest.
"You will not be taking my Emperor Woolie from me!! Today, we win this, and we will go home, back to where Neva and Sylvia and Aunt Ruby and everyone else are waiting for us. Emperor Woolie does not give up!! You can do it, Woolie. Take my power. Take everything and beat that old wolf back to the primal times!!!" Raiden roared as he felt the resonance between their bond stirring.
A second later, it was like the floodgates of a dam. The floodgates of a dam opened up as all his mental and physical energy started flowing out of his body, directly into Woolie’s, but Raiden didn’t care, pushing it even harder from his side.
In just a few seconds, his soul was torn pretty badly, and it started to go faint, slowly becoming transparent, but Raiden did not care for any of this, for he only had one thought in mind.
"You are Emperor Woolie, aren’t you?! You are going to rule over everything one day, are you not?! So show me, Woolie!! Show me what you have!! Show me that you don’t give up!! Stand up and take back what is yours!!!"
"WOOLIE!!!"
CRACK-BANG!!!
With a crackle of thunder, Woolie snapped his eyes open.
"WOOLIE!!!" Get out of my body, you big fat kitten!!!
Woolie locked his whole body in thunder and directly crashed into the spectator hovering over his head, destroying the mist over and over again.
"NOO!!!! YOU MAY HAVE WON THIS TIME, BUT I WILL BE BACK FOR MY REVENGE, BRATS!! MARK MY WORDS!! SOONER OR LATER, YOU WILL HAVE TO GIVE UP YOUR BODY, AND THE FINAL VICTORY WILL BE MINE!!!"
"Woolie!!" Emperor Woolie fears no one!! I’ll beat you as many times as it takes, now get out!!
CRACK-BOOM!!!
With a final push, Woolie destroyed the last remnants of the wolf’s soul, eradicating it completely for now.
Raiden, who had fallen on his knees due to weakness, looked at it with a relieved smile on his face.
"You did it, buddy, you won. I..am..so...glad..."
His soul, which was surviving on grit alone, couldn’t take the pain any longer and passed out.
Woolie, who had been hovering in the air, quickly jumped to catch his nearly translucent body.
"Woolie Woo!!" You did everything well, human. I knew you would come; now leave the rest to me.
