Chapter 139 Who is the enemy?

Chapter 139 Who is the enemy?

Wanda Maximov and Pietro Maximov, siblings, were somewhat nervous, but having just gained their powers, they were unable to control them and thus remained in their isolation chamber.

Maya Hansen was even more unable to resist the power cage. She discovered that Killian had led her to something like this. She had been suspicious from the beginning, and then she found out that the other party actually called himself Hydra.

She was naturally familiar with the texts she had studied in elementary school, so while she outwardly continued her research on the Extremis virus, she was actually preparing to escape.

Unfortunately, their people were all on Killian's side, her plan was exposed, and she was subsequently imprisoned. Killian threatened her to continue her research.

The sudden alarm tonight made her nervous, and then Killian led his men out. They usually stayed within their own area.

Killian and Hydra are wary of each other, but they haven't completely broken off relations. So what exactly happened?

They didn't know that there were only four people still alive here: the three of them plus Link.

Link's energy gun effectively countered the Extremis virus, especially the still-developing version. Link killed all of Killian's men, including Killian himself, and then began processing the data and video recordings.

Treatment requires documentation, and imaging needs to be completely destroyed, including all the hardware, so things are quite complicated, and Link has a lot to do.

This took some time, and he then went to Maya Hansen first, who breathed a sigh of relief when she saw him.

Link laughed and asked, "You seem relieved?"

“Yes, you’re with the Avengers, of course I know that. Did the Avengers find this place?” Maya Hansen asked. “I want to see Tony Stark.”

"I'm sorry, I came alone. I noticed something was wrong here, so I came here alone." Link then opened the iron door of the cage and turned to leave.

"Wait for me!" Maya Hansen hurriedly chased after him, but Link ignored her. After all, this person was useless to Link; the important thing was what was next.

He didn't answer anything Maya Hansen said, and she finally shut up, because when they came out, they found a large number of corpses.

Link approached the twins, looked at them, and said, "Wanda Maximov, Pietro Maximov, your parents died in the Sokovia civil war. Why are you here?"

"The Avengers?" The two finally realized what had happened; the Avengers had attacked.

"Yes, I am an Avenger," Link said. "You two seem quite special. I was looking up Hydra's data earlier and found out you were conducting some kind of human experimentation, is that right?"

Neither of them spoke.

Link asked with a smile, "Why aren't you saying anything?"

"You're friends with the executioner," Pietro said.

"The executioner?" Link asked, looking puzzled. "Stark?"

"Yes, Stark's. Our parents died from the missiles he made." Pietro knew their situation; after all, they were imprisoned, and the other side could do anything, and they had no power to resist.

Link shook his head and said, "Whether it's missiles or pistols, there's a difference between the people who make them and the people who use them to kill. If you can't even tell the difference, then you've definitely chosen the wrong target for your hatred."

"I'll show you something."

Link turned and left, but Maya Hansen remained standing there. Wanda immediately said, "Let us out, and we can deal with him."

Maya Hansen was taken aback and said, "Tony and I are friends, I won't just let you out."

"..." The twins were disappointed. They had met this woman once before. She was clearly from the base, so how did she become Stark's friend?

Link quickly returned with a laptop, clicked a few times, and then turned it around to show them.

Here are some documents, including information about infiltrating Sokovia. Link said, "Baron Strucker, a subordinate of Red Skull, the leader of Hydra during World War II, orchestrated the war in Sokovia to conceal his experiments, and then re-established his base."

"Your enemy should be him without a doubt, and yet you actually cooperated with him. I must say, children are just children."

"..." The twins were speechless. The information they had seen should be true, since it was recorded inside the base and they were not aware of it before.

The two of them instantly wilted like eggplants after a frost!

Link opened the isolation chamber and said, "Come back to Avengers Headquarters with me now. You two have superpowers, so it's not suitable to let you out for the time being."

"Furthermore, it seems that you are not yet able to use your own abilities, so training needs to be supervised to prevent you from causing trouble."

Link turned to Maya Hansen and said, "Madam, you can leave now. Go buy a plane ticket and go back to America!"

"Can't you take me away?" Maya Hansen asked.

"No, this involves Avengers secrets," Link said. "I'm going to blow this place up in a bit. You have half an hour to leave."

After Link finished speaking, he turned and walked outside. He planned to put all of Hydra's weapons inside and then blow them up together.

Maya Hansen had no choice but to hurriedly pack her things; she couldn't leave Sokovia without her passport.

Wanda looked at her brother and said, "What do we do?"

Pietro said, "We have nowhere to go now, so why don't we go with him and see? Now that it turns out we were wrong, Stark is no longer a problem."

"Isn't the Avengers always recruiting?"

Wanda pondered for a moment, then asked, "Are you sure you want to join the Avengers?"

"Otherwise what?" Pietro shrugged and said, "Given our circumstances, which country do you think would allow us to live a normal life?"

"At that point, won't they still try every means to control us?"

Wanda suddenly laughed and said, "My brother actually thinks so much?"

Pietro rolled his eyes and said defiantly, "We're twins. You were only born a few minutes earlier than me."

"Then I'm your older sister too." Wanda firmly held onto her position as the older sister, refusing to budge an inch.

The brother and sister seemed to relax a lot suddenly. After all, their enemy was dead, and Baron Starkla was the culprit. This made sense, since Stark couldn't possibly have come to Sokovia to overthrow the regime.
