Chapter 157 Superman

Chapter 157 Superman

Clark and Link were both very excited just now, one because he saw someone who looked like one of their own kind, and the other because it seemed like he couldn't go home.

Now that he'd calmed down, Clark felt a chill run down his spine, not from the polar cold, but from embarrassment.

He gave an awkward smile and said, "How about we go to my place first?"

"Alright!" Link nodded, took the watch off his left wrist, and tossed it to Clark. "Put this on!"

Clark, curious, took it and put it on his wrist. "Alfred, start it!"

"..." Nanoparticles surged out and began to cover Clark's body. The two were about the same size, and the suits were not fixed sizes.

Clark asked in surprise, "What is this?"

"Nanotechnology, let's go!" Link doesn't necessarily need a cape to fly; the cape is for turning.

The two took to the air and flew away one after the other. They soon arrived at the Clark family's farm, where his foster mother, Martha Kent, was working.

Hearing the sound, she turned to look at the sky. She was puzzled as to why two people were flying over.

She knew Clark could fly, so who was the other person?

Are they his relatives?

The two landed backward, and Clark stepped forward, "Mom, I'm home!"

"My child!" Martha Kent was overjoyed, while Link looked around and saw that the cabin was surrounded by farmland.

His lips twitched. This Superman really doesn't care much about quality of life!

Is it difficult for Superman to build a new house?

He couldn't understand Superman's thinking, so Clark introduced, "This is my mother, Martha Kent, and this is..."

Link said, "K. Link, you can call me Link."

"Hello, child, you can call me Martha!" Martha Kent asked somewhat nervously, "Are you related to Clark?"

"Oh right." Clark suddenly remembered something. "I'm Clark Kent, I'm so excited."

"You're getting excited too soon." Link looked at him speechlessly. "I may not be one of your kind, because this isn't my universe."

"The universe?" Clark was taken aback.

Link said, "Let's go inside and talk. Shouldn't we sit down and discuss this?"

"Okay, I'll go change my clothes." Clark was a little disappointed, but he still prepared to get dressed first.

The three entered the house. Link sat down in the living room, Martha went to make coffee, and Clark went to the bedroom to change his clothes and returned Link's watch to him.

After the three of them sat down, Link asked, "Do you have any Marvel comics here?"

"Yes!" Clark was taken aback. He didn't understand why the other person asked that. He had read comics when he was a child, but he stopped reading them after he grew up.

Link tried to explain simply: "I come from the Marvel Universe. The Avengers, Captain America, and so on exist, but there are no mutants or Fantastic Four there."

"And we have Superman comics where we're from, which is you, Clark Kent. Now you understand what I mean?"

"But what about you?" Clark asked. "You seem to be just like me."

"I'm special. I wasn't even from the Marvel Universe before. I just traveled to the Marvel Universe and settled down there," Link said. "You should know how powerful I am. I should be stronger than you."

"So, Earth's enemies joined forces and set a trap to send me into the quantum realm."

"It's just that various energies converged during the battle, and that's how I ended up here. This might not be a parallel universe of Marvel."

"Of course, my explanation is a bit simplified. Do you understand?"

Clark was a little confused and asked, "Am I a character in a comic book?"

Link shook his head and said, "Parallel universes or related universes will always have some similarities."

"Of course, they're not exactly the same, and I don't quite understand those things either. Right now, I need to find my way home."

"Even if it's a parallel universe, I can break through the barriers of the parallel universe at lightning speed and eventually return to my own universe."

Clark asked curiously, "So, do you know anything about me?"

"I roughly know, but I don't know how things developed here. You can check the news; if the military finds anything in the polar regions, you can go take a look," Link said. "You come from Krypton, and the yellow sun gave you superpowers."

"We're the same in that respect!"

Clark was confused again. "Then aren't we the same race? Maybe there are Kryptonians in the Marvel Universe too?"

"I can't answer those questions for you. First, we need to find that spaceship. But once it's activated, the surviving Kryptonians will receive the signal," Link said. "And their arrival on Earth might not be a good thing for us, but I can help you deal with them."

"I'm a bit confused," Clark said.

"Is there a key with an 'S' engraved on it in your small spaceship?" Link asked.

"Is that a key?" Clark asked.

"Yes, it contains everything you want to know, but the spaceship you were in as a baby is too small. You need to find that exploration ship, activate it, and you'll be able to see the images left by your biological father," Link said.

"So do you know where Krypton is?" Clark asked.

"Krypton is destroyed, and most of the Kryptonians perished with it. Few survived, and they weren't exactly good people," Link said. "They were imprisoned for their rebellion. You'll have to think about and judge for yourself."

"You need to verify what I say for yourself!"

Clark stood up, looking dejected. "Sorry, I want to go and rest for a bit."

"No problem. You can verify my words when you go to find the exploration spaceship. Also, there is genetic testing equipment on board. I want to see if my genes are Kryptonian." Link had never actually tested his genes.

Clark walked towards his bedroom. Martha looked at Link with some concern, then asked, "Does Krypton really not exist anymore?"

"And what about Clark's parents?"

"They're gone too. They disappeared along with Krypton," Link said. "The Kryptonians had a very advanced civilization, and they believed the yellow sun turned them into super soldiers, which is why they were so powerful in the universe."

"However, this also brought arrogance, and even decay."

"They didn't leave until the planet was destroyed; perhaps many people were hoping for its destruction!"

Martha covered her mouth and muttered, "How could such a thing happen?"
