Chapter 171 Steel Bones
Chapter 171 Steel Bones
Diana Prince didn't ask Link directly; it was just her guess. Link had demonstrated impressive skills, and she wasn't sure if he could handle Cyborg's situation, but she thought it was worth a try.
Cyborg hesitated for a moment, then said, "Okay, wait for me, I'll go back and get something."
After he finished speaking, he flew away, returned home to retrieve the Mother Box, and went back to Diana's side.
Diana looked at him and asked, "How did you get him?"
"My father saved me with it," Cyborg said. "This grotesque state I am now is its doing."
Diana frowned and said, "So, it was activated?"
"Yes," Cyborg asked, "What's the problem?"
"Let's get to the base first." She got into the car with Cyborg and then sped back to Wayne Manor.
Diana's expression was somewhat solemn. The Mother Box had been activated; would it send any signals?
She didn't know for sure, but she still needed to prepare for the worst.
Link's arrival changed some things, but some things couldn't be changed, like Cyborg's previous car accident and his father's desperate efforts to save him.
The Kryptonian world engine crashed, and he was assigned to conduct research. He accidentally obtained the Mother Box, which he then activated to save his son. These were all things that Krillin could not influence.
Diana knew the importance of the Mother Box, because the Amazon warriors guarded one, and the one they saw now was the one that humans were responsible for hiding.
After returning to the manor, they went to the underground base. Diana first had Cyborg check the equipment and satellite status, while she went to summon Bruce Wayne.
After inspecting the place and seeing Diana return with her people, Steelbone said, "No problem, it's very clean here, and the system is very advanced."
Diana nodded and said, "This is Bruce Wayne, Batman."
Cyborg nodded to Wayne and said, "I never imagined that the famous Wayne was actually Batman."
"Then, when will I be able to meet someone who can heal me?"
Bruce Wayne said, "Come with me, he's at one of my other bases."
Diana said, "Take that with you..."
She pointed to the mother box, "We'll talk about this after we get there, and see if Lin can verify some things."
The three set off again, this time arriving at the lakeside villa in the evening. Wayne cleared the place out, taking all his belongings and sending them back to Wayne Manor.
This place was completely handed over to Link for use. Link made some modifications himself, then settled down and made further alterations to the underground cave.
In the past, Wayne merely used the space inside to house his equipment and combat gear, while Link completely overhauled the space, expanding the space below into a rectangular prism.
Various pipelines and equipment have been installed to make the conditions more comfortable; the temperature below is now normal.
Here, due to the operation of the equipment, Link himself doesn't care about the temperature, but the equipment is not good, especially at the bottom of the lake, where a lot of moisture is easily generated.
He didn't want his quantum channels to malfunction and lead him into unknown territory; that would be disastrous.
Moreover, with the increased space, he manufactured several more drones and began continuously sending them into the space. He discovered some intelligent life forms, which looked in various shapes and sizes.
This was a huge step forward. Link kept an eye on them with his drone while continuing to refine his coordinate records, marking all the special areas, especially those with different time flow rates.
In the evening, he made himself a simple dinner: a few steaks and a vegetable salad.
When Wayne and his two companions arrived, Link looked at Cyborg and asked, "What brings you all here?"
Wayne said, "Two things. First, do you think you can get him back to normal?"
Link said, "If he recovers, then he won't have any value now."
Wayne was taken aback; he hadn't considered this. However, he still said, "If you have a way, then please save him. It must be very painful for him to live like this."
Link nodded slightly and said, "Saving him isn't difficult. Go and find me a few lizards."
"A lizard?" Wayne was taken aback.
"Aren't you guys reading Marvel comics?" Link said. "You should know about Richard Parker's research project. I need to use his genes to breed new lizards so that he can repair himself."
"He will possess healing abilities and immense power, and he can't lose his usefulness either; that's certainly enough for an ordinary superhero."
"At the same time, there may be unknown changes to his metal body; we'll have to wait and see."
"This is caused by the mother box, so what about the mother box?"
Diana said, "That brings us to the second question. His father saved him using the Mother Box, and in doing so, activated the Mother Box. Did the Mother Box send out any messages?"
"Can you figure it out?"
Link rolled his eyes and said, "What do you guys take me for?"
"Master boxes are difficult to study, and I don't have the time for that, but I can give you a suggestion."
"What suggestion?" Diana asked.
"So, when I leave, I'll take it into the Quantum Realm. Just like the Infinity Stones can't exist here, could the Mother Box exist in the Marvel Universe?" Link said.
"If it could, then it would have remained in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and the three Mother Boxes would never have been able to be combined again."
"If it can't, then it will disappear, and it's unknown how long it will take before it reappears in your universe."
Diana nodded and said, "That's a good idea. You can keep it here. I'm sure no one can take it away from you."
Are you confident you can cure him?
"It shouldn't be a big problem. After all, his internal organs are well preserved and still functioning. The rest of his body isn't the main concern. It's perfectly fine." Link confirmed one last time. "Alright, that's all I can do. You can leave now."
"I don't have any dinner for you here."
After the three of them left the villa, Diana said, "He's a warm-hearted person, but he just doesn't show it because he's destined to leave."
"Is that what you think?" Wayne asked.
"Of course, that's what I think," Diana said. "He's never refused our help. You don't think that's an equal exchange, do you?"
