Chapter 42 The Agreement

Chapter 42 The Agreement

"You did this just for a title?" Old Antonio asked incredulously.

"How is that possible?" Link said angrily, "It was your son who provoked me. I have to let people know that I am someone who cannot be offended."

"What if it happens again next time?"

"To put it bluntly, you're just chickens being slaughtered to keep any future monkeys in line, understand?"

"You..." Old Antonio never expected that his son would be killed like this. "Okay, I promise you, tomorrow night in Las Vegas, the same casino. I'll be waiting for you."

"Very good, you can prepare as many people as possible, including your so-called high table. There are fewer people there, so we can kill to our hearts' content and see who falls in the end," Link said happily.

He then hung up the phone, looked at Winston, and said, "Now, you can call that so-called high table, gather your men, and have a game, a battle, in Las Vegas tomorrow."

Link then got up and walked outside, completely ignoring Winston and Charon.

Winston frowned, glanced at Charon, and said, "Take some men to clean up. We need to open for business tomorrow morning."

"Yes, sir!" Charon turned and went out to tidy up, while Winston took out his phone and dialed the number.

Many people at the high table were woken up by the phone and then listened in shock to Winston tell a story about a Chinese man who stormed the Continental Hotel in New York with a throwing knife.

A group of assassins, along with Santino's bodyguards, were all killed, including Santino himself.

The other side has declared war on their entire high table, a betting game, a battle, so what should they do next?

Saint-Deno violated the rules, and no one cared about his death, but he also violated the first ironclad rule of the Continental Hotel: killing is prohibited within the Continental Hotel.

Moreover, they came knocking on our door with advance notice. If we don't deal with it, then the mainland hotels will lose their deterrent effect.

Fighting is absolutely necessary!

Immediately begin mobilizing manpower. Link's behavior is somewhat strange. Is he really that good at throwing knives?

Gather his information immediately!

However, there isn't much information about Link. He used to be a police officer in New York, and his first shooting resulted in the deaths of more than twenty people, with headshots every time. No wonder the other party sounded regretful; he really can use a gun.

Therefore, a group of elites must be prepared for the high table, and the number of them cannot be small. They also cannot take action in the casino hotel.

The power in Las Vegas is equally strong, even stronger than that of the High Table. Each hotel has a group of shareholders behind it, and they are not to be trifled with.

You can only make your move after the game is over and the other party comes out. The high table has always emphasized the ironclad rule, and Las Vegas also has its ironclad rule.

……

The next morning, Link called Jessica and told her that he had a big poker game and asked her to stay at Tracy's house and not go out for the time being.

Link wasn't worried about Jessica's safety. After all, if the High Table really threatened him with a woman, he could just go berserk!

His super hearing, once fully powered, can monitor the entire globe.

He couldn't use throwing knives this time, since the enemy numbered quite a bit, and he couldn't make a move inside Las Vegas, as that would offend the various factions in the gambling city.

The timing was perfect; after the gambling game ended, he would drive to the desert to deal with all the assassins.

Link arrived in Las Vegas with a huge bag, the same casino hotel he visited last time. This time, he used special credentials.

News travels fast in the underworld, and they received the information early on. This time, they dared not underestimate Link again; he was a killing machine!

Of course, what they valued most was the gambling game that night. Link was taken directly to the most luxurious room, where he could get a good rest, and even his meals were delivered directly to him by the hotel.

The gambling started at 8 p.m., and quite a few people came. All twelve directors at the high table were present, and they were very curious about Link.

Upon entering the VIP box, Link selected cigars and bourbons, then sat down. Across from him, old Antonio looked very unwell.

Link asked with a smile, "How many people have you prepared?"

"Let's settle this once and for all. I don't like dragging things out. This is your last chance. If I win, then the high table will have to compensate me."

"If that doesn't work, then I'll have to go on a killing spree."

All twelve board members raised an eyebrow, their faces filled with anger. However, a very young white man stood up and said, "I am Gramont, the CEO of the High Table. We have prepared three hundred men for Mr. Lin, all of them elite."

"Is Mr. Lin satisfied?"

Link looked at him and said, "Not satisfied. Is this all the manpower you have?"

"It's eight o'clock now. After the game starts, you have four hours to prepare until midnight, so you can gather as many people as possible."

"At midnight sharp, I will drive an SUV out of the hotel and head towards the desert. After all, this is Las Vegas, and I am a professional gambler who makes a living here."

"Ten kilometers from here, we will start the war, and the victors will emerge from the desert."

Gramont frowned. Was there an ambush?

However, he had already sent people to keep an eye on things, and neither large numbers of armed personnel came to Las Vegas, either from the air or on land.

"Yes!" Gramont said. "We agree."

"Okay, so if I step out, will the high table agree to compensation and end the conflict?" Link then asked, "What is the specific amount of compensation?"

"You seem to think you've got this in the bag?" Gramont asked. "You've planted men in the desert?"

"No, there's only one person. The weapons are all here." Link opened the backpack at his feet and showed it off; it was full of firearms. "You'll be able to handle the body yourselves, and the truth will be clear then."

"I need to ask for instructions." Gramont was no longer able to make the decision.

"Okay, let's begin!" Link looked at old Antonio.

Antonio said, "Alright, I know how good you are, but I also know your weaknesses."

"I go all in every hand; we're gambling on luck."

Link was taken aback for a moment, then laughed and said, "That would make the time drag on too long, and it'd lack any fun!"

"This is my only chance." Old Antonio had consulted Wilson Fiske beforehand.

Wilson Fisk gained a lot from this, otherwise he wouldn't have mentioned that Link fabricated a weakness for himself during their first big game.
