Chapter 43 You want me now?
Chapter 43 You want me now?
Besides the grass nest for sleeping, Yan's cave only had a small cave for storing animal hides. There wasn't even a stone pot. Calling it a dilapidated cave was certainly accurate.
They had barely returned and taken a sip of water when Ye and the others came back, each carrying two or three prey – it seemed to be a bumper harvest. Linni saw Feng return with them and gave Ye a somewhat speechless look: "He really wants me to find a few more powerful partners, doesn't he? Shouldn't he be stopping me?"
This was the first time Ye had been separated from Lin Ni for so long. He abandoned his prey and ran over to pick her up and kiss her profusely. Lin Ni tried to slap him a few times but he wouldn't budge. She waited until Ye had kissed her enough before letting her go.
Every time Ye kissed her so passionately, she couldn't help but feel aroused. She calmed her breathing in Ye's arms, looked up and saw that everyone was busy with their own things. Yao was making dinner and the others were sorting the game and animal hides. She breathed a sigh of relief, and then heard Ye say in her ear, "I'll mate with you in a bit."
Linni's face flushed instantly! She pushed him away forcefully: "No!"
Night: "You want me now?"
"I'll never forgive you!" Lin Ni was about to be driven crazy by him, with so many people around! Seeing that Ye still wanted to speak, Lin Ni raised her foot and kicked him, but she didn't expect his foot to be as hard as a stone block, and the pain brought tears to her eyes.
He knelt down to look at her feet: "Are you alright? Why did you hurt yourself?"
Lin Ni: Did I intentionally hurt myself? You lecherous snake! She turned away angrily, not wanting to speak to him anymore, only to realize there were only a few males in the cave. So she asked, "Where are Bai Shu and Bai Ji?"
Feng walked over and said, "This cave is difficult to climb up, so they went back to the cave where they used to live."
Lin Ni lowered her eyes sadly upon hearing this, so the difference between being able to transform into human form and not being able to is really, really big!
Yao looked up and asked, "Lin, have you found a suitable place?"
"Found it!" Linni exclaimed excitedly. She pushed Ye aside and sat down next to Yao. "I really like that place. I wonder how long it will take to dig the cave. I want to move there right away!"
Everyone could see from her sparkling eyes that she really liked her.
Feng said, "Tell me the location, and I'll get my people together. We can dig it up for you in one day, tomorrow."
"So fast?!" This was a pleasant surprise! Then she realized that all the prey they had hunted today was probably payment for the orcs who would help dig the tunnel tomorrow. She looked up at Feng and said, "Feng, thank you so much! I don't know how to thank you enough for all this trouble today!"
Yan: Lin finally didn't say those words to me.
Feng understood her meaning, and the smile in Danfeng's eyes dimmed slightly. She nodded and said, "Since Baishu and Baiji can't come up, consider it my contribution to help them. The same goes for digging the cave; otherwise, they can't do anything, and it won't be easy for them to live with you in the future. I have to take care of them in some way."
Lin Ni was a little afraid to look him in the eye, but after hearing his words, she couldn't help but exclaim, "Feng, you are such a responsible and good older brother!"
The word "brother?" made the male in the cave ponder for a moment.
Linni explained: "In my old tribe, people like you and Baishu who share the same parents, well, the males are called brothers. You are the older brother, and they are the younger brother. If everyone is female, then they are the older sister and the younger sister."
Feng nodded: "Yes, I'm their older brother!"
Yan: "So Can and I are brothers too?"
“Yes.” Linni nodded.
Linni shared her ideas for building a new home with everyone. She wanted to dig a large cave for all the cave-dwelling beastmen to live in together. Inside, she would dig four smaller caves for storing food, such as dried meat, fruit, firewood, and animal hides, which could then be stored separately. She planned to build two small houses in front of the cave: one for cooking and eating, and the other with a hearth to build a heated kang (a traditional heated platform bed) so they wouldn't be cold in winter. She also needed a separate toilet for bathing and other bodily functions. Her father had a house in their rural hometown, and she had stayed there for several years during her holidays, observing how others built houses, heated kangs, and septic tanks, so she roughly knew how to do it. This would be her first real home on this beastman continent!
Thinking of home, she wondered if she could ever return to her original home. She was an only child, and she didn't know how heartbroken her parents would be! But she couldn't find any clues to go back in the forest. She could only hope that Yao would have some clues after he regained his memory. He and she had appeared there at the same time, there must be some mystery behind it, right?
Everyone thought the stone house could be built, but it might take an extra day, at least two days to complete. Two days was already far beyond Linni's expectations; she had thought it would take ten days to half a month.
After discussing the house construction, Feng left. Then Lin Ni looked at Yan again. Yan was a little nervous, afraid that she would say those polite but distant things to him again, so he quickly said, "I'll stay at the cave entrance and I can also block the mountain wind for you!"
Lin Ni felt a little cruel. She lived in Yan's cave, wore clothes made from the fine animal hides he hunted, yet refused to accept him—a complete scumbag! Then she thought of Feng's eyes darkening for a moment, and she felt a pang of sympathy. They were both wonderful, each handsome in their own way. If she were looking at posters like she did in her original world, she would drool and exclaim, "So handsome! So handsome!" She could even say, "I want them all!" But they weren't posters; they were living, breathing men. She couldn't have so many.
Just thinking about Ye's crazy behavior during those ten-odd days in the rainy season was unbearable for her. And then there was Yao; she hadn't been intimate with him since the first time. Actually, she really wanted him... but she was wrong! Lin Ni spat at herself.
As for whether or not to be with Yan, she could decide before winter, so she'd put it off for now. She nodded to Yan and casually got up, saying, "Go to sleep. We're moving to the new house the day after tomorrow!"
Ye followed her back to the grass nest, wanting to be intimate with her.
Lin Ni was a little angry that he always talked nonsense in front of outsiders. She also thought that she had already cruelly rejected a handsome guy, and sometimes it was okay to be even more ruthless—the so-called tactful approach was beyond Ye's comprehension. So she pushed him away directly and said, "Actually, I want Yao, but not now. We'll get intimate after we get to the new house. You have to work hard tomorrow."
Her words left Ye feeling a little disappointed, but he didn't press her further. It was true that since they had become a couple, they hadn't been intimate, so it was normal for him to miss her first partner, wasn't it?
Linni didn't want to coax him either. She sat on the grass and watched Yao blush as he and Yan cleaned up the leftovers.
