Chapter 105 You're Getting Married, But the Bride Isn't Me
Chapter 105 You're Getting Married, But the Bride Isn't Me
Madara remained silent for a long time before finally offering his blessings to Hashirama and Ningxia.
After leaving Konoha, she kept searching for Izuna's whereabouts, gradually maturing from her youthful impetuosity.
Madara knew very well that she had lost the battle at the Valley of the End, and that Hashirama was indeed more qualified than her, both morally and logically.
"Um... a freckle?"
Hearing Madara's open admission, Hashirama felt somewhat at a loss.
Wait a minute! Shouldn't Madara be furious at this point, or even come back to fight her himself?
Such a calm response is completely unlike Madara's personality.
"What's wrong?"
"Aren't you angry?"
"I'm angry, but I've figured it out."
Madara shared his views, and his frank attitude made Hashirama feel ashamed of herself. Compared to Madara, she was like a sulking child.
"Um... Ningxia told me that he is actually from the future."
Hashirama had no choice but to change the subject, but Madara remained calm, saying that he already knew.
"You...knew all along!?"
Hashirama was even more bewildered; she had only found out yesterday! Madara had been away from Konoha for a year, which meant she probably knew about it even earlier than he did.
"Before I left, Ningxia had already told me that he was from the future."
"Aren't you worried? Ningxia might leave."
"I'm worried, but so what? Even if Ningxia is in the distant future, I'll just live to see it!"
Madara's tone was so confident that even Hashirama felt a little ashamed of himself.
"What's more... Ningxia told me that she would definitely find a way to bring me... and Izuna along before she went back."
"..."
The difference between Ningxia's personal account and his own account is huge!
The thought that Ban not only came before me, but that Ningxia was the one who brought it up... Damn it... I'm the clown!?
"I have something to do... I'll be going now."
"Huh? Hashirama? Didn't you have something to tell me? What was it again?"
"have no idea!!!"
"Tsk tsk tsk~ Getting impatient."
"Stop right there!"
Enraged, Hashirama slammed his fist on the table, and then...
Seeing the documents flying everywhere, Hashirama gave up thinking.
"Hikaru, you guys can hang out near the Hokage's office building for now. After I finish my work this afternoon, I'll take you out for something delicious."
Ningxia looked at Guang and Dai beside her and whispered some words of advice. Guang nodded obediently, indicating that he would take good care of Dai.
"Good boy/girl."
Ningxia smiled and patted the two little girls, then asked an ANBU member to protect them before returning to the Hokage's office.
"I'm...back in Ningxia."
Hashirama sat in his seat, sweating profusely, and greeted the guests with an awkward yet polite manner.
"Hashirama? What's wrong?"
Ningxia is very strange; Hashirama looks odd.
"It's nothing... I just... I was exercising for a while and I'm a little tired."
Hashirama's guilty reply, and the thought that she was really doomed when documents were flying everywhere, made her deeply understand Tobirama's feelings.
But she quickly realized something was wrong. She was the Hokage, so why wasn't she getting someone to deal with her?
Then, with the help of a group of ninjas, she finally managed to clean up before Ningxia returned.
"Training?"
Ningxia looked at Hashirama with surprise. Ever since the battle at the Valley of the End, Hashirama had been slacking off and had hardly fought any battles.
Although with her abilities, she certainly has the right to concede defeat.
"Never mind that! Ningxia, come here quickly, I..."
The thought that Madara knew the truth before him, and that Ningxia had told her to find a way to bring Madara back, made Hashirama feel extremely uncomfortable.
"What's going on... you idiot! Someone's coming in soon..."
"Wood Release: Blocking Doors and Windows Technique!"
After Tobirama went home and slept for a day, he finally recovered, but he was still somewhat listless.
She really didn't know how to face Ningxia. For a moment, Tobirama wished she could be as carefree as her sister.
When Tobirama came downstairs, Hashirama was waiting at her house. When he saw his sister get up, Hashirama immediately got up to greet her.
"You're finally awake, Tobirama. Ningxia made some roasted meat patties today. I was thinking you must be hungry since you haven't eaten all day. Here, have some."
A radiant Hashirama smiled and waved the still-steaming meat pie in his hand. Tobirama, though puzzled, nodded and took the small meat pie, eating it one bite at a time.
The meat patty was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, bursting with sweet meat juices in the mouth. Accompanied by a crisp sound, the delicious food temporarily relieved Tobirama's worries.
"Not bad, right?"
"Mmm...delicious...anything made in Ningxia is delicious."
Tobirama kept stuffing meat patties into her mouth, her need for food wasn't that high, just enough to fill her stomach.
But the one thing Ningxia did was something she truly liked from the bottom of her heart.
Seeing his sister eating so happily, Hashirama felt both happy and conflicted.
In the afternoon in the office, after much persuasion from Ningxia, she decided to hold a wedding, but to keep it as low-key as possible.
The main reason was that Ningxia's existence was too special, and Ban and Izuna were still wandering outside, so it was not appropriate to make a big fuss about it.
Therefore, Hashirama is considering inviting only a few friends to the wedding.
"Sis? What's wrong? Just say it."
Tobirama saw through his sister's little scheme. While stuffing a meat pie into his mouth, he asked her what she wanted to see him about.
"Ah... Tobirama, please don't be afraid of what I'm about to tell you."
Hashirama paused for a moment, then carefully gave some instructions, lest Tobirama be unable to accept them.
"Go ahead and say it, I'm listening."
Tobirama thought Hashirama had gotten into trouble again and wanted to clean it up himself.
"Aren't you scared?"
Tobirama rolled her eyes in annoyance; she had cleaned up countless messes for Hashirama over the years.
"Tell me, sis, did you make Ningxia angry again? Then go kneel on the cactus, the washboard is useless now."
"No way!!!"
Hashirama denied it angrily. Although Ningxia was indeed angry at first, it was too late for her to be angry later.
"So what did you do?"
"Well... Ningxia and I are getting married, and you'd like to be our bridesmaid... Never mind, just attending the banquet will do."
The meat pie fell to the ground. Tobirama slowly raised his head to look at Hashirama in front of him, trying to confirm that she was joking, but Hashirama's expression was very serious.
Tobirama quickly got up to check the calendar: October 11th, Konoha Year 2! That's right, he hadn't slept for years.
But... why is this happening? Why did Ningxia marry my sister after I just took a nap?
"Tobirama... are you alright? If you can't accept this, then let's just forget about it."
"No... Sister... Sister... I... I will go..."
Tobirama forced a response, but felt as if a part of him had been ripped out.
Ningxia is getting married, but the bride isn't me.
