The kang (heated brick bed) for left-behind women

Chapter 62 Sheep Raising Experience

Chapter 62 Sheep Raising Experience

"Eat early tonight, and go warm yourself up on the kang (heated brick bed)," Lin Dachun said.

"We were already going to be misunderstood, and then you went to lie on the kang (heated brick bed) every day, which only made the misunderstanding worse." Li Ruoxue blushed.

"You have a cold uterus, so you should keep warm," Lin Dachun said earnestly.

The two ate dinner early, and as darkness fell, they closed the door to the cave dwelling.

Li Ruoxue also climbed onto the kang (heated brick bed) to warm her stomach.

"Why don't the villagers want to get rich? They just cling to their little piece of land." Li Ruoxue has also been thinking about getting rich recently.

"We're all uneducated, so naturally we don't have any ideas. Our understanding is limited. I'm the same way. I've never been to school, so I don't know how to get rich," Lin Dachun explained.

"Look at Boss Ma from the next village, he's different. They grew a lot of jujubes and made a fortune. And that guy in town who made it big, he got rich by reselling. I heard they're all involved in shady businesses. How would we know anything about those?" Lin Dachun explained.

Lin Dachun glanced at Li Ruoxue and asked, "What about your family? How do your parents earn money?"

"It's nothing much, my parents just work hard. They only care about my younger brother, they don't care about me. They've had our marriage rejected several times because of the high dowry, and our family is very poor. But I really didn't like staying in that house. I never received any love growing up, and my parents even beat me. I never got enough to eat or sleep. I had to get up at five o'clock every morning to pull weeds and herd sheep and cattle," Li Ruoxue said pitifully.

Hearing this, Lin Dachun felt a pang of heartache.

"I'm good to you."

"Mmm." Li Ruoxue smiled happily.

The two of them started playing around on the kang (a heated brick bed).

Li Ruoxue started tickling Lin Dachun.

Lin Dachun didn't hold back this time. He released her wrist, stretched out his long arm, and grabbed both her hands, pinning them to his side.

Li Ruoxue was far weaker than him, and although she twisted her body, she couldn't break free. She was also ticklish, so she could only laugh and beg for mercy: "Ah...ah! I'm sorry, I won't tease you anymore, it tickles...haha..."

She laughed so hard that tears almost streamed down her face.

"Are you still going to cause trouble?" Lin Dachun deliberately raised his voice, but the end of his tone revealed a hint of gentleness.

"I won't joke anymore, I really won't!" Li Ruoxue quickly assured her, her voice still carrying a hint of laughter and panting.

Lin Dachun then released his grip.

Li Ruoxue immediately slithered back into her bed like a slippery fish.

The next day, the sky was clear and the spring breeze was gentle.

Lin Dachun took Li Ruoxue up the mountain to herd sheep, hoping to help her relax, as it wasn't good for her to stay cooped up in the cave all the time.

The sheep became familiar with the route, and once they left the pen, they would automatically head towards the grassy slope, their bells ringing crisply.

Lin Dachun and Li Ruoxue followed behind, their steps light and quick.

Entering the mountains is like entering another world; lush greenery greets you, birds chirp, and even the air is fresh and sweet.

The two sat together on the hilltop, while the lambs grazed on their own.

Neither of them had any experience raising sheep.

"Should we just let them graze on their own?" Li Ruoxue asked, looking rather naive.

"What else? What else do we need to do?"

"I don't know," Li Ruoxue said blankly.

"I'll ask an experienced person another day. We'll lose a lot if they die. You sit here and watch, I'll go check on the seabuckthorn patch," Lin Dachun said.

"If we manage to raise them to death, we'll lose a lot of money. We still need to find an experienced sheep farmer to learn some skills, such as disease prevention, how to build a proper sheep pen, and whether to separate the sheep, etc." Li Ruoxue pondered.

"You're so smart, thinking so much. I didn't think about anything at all."
