Chapter 254
Chapter 254
These days, she had been hesitating about whether to take the initiative to find Nalan Yin, when Nalan Yin took the initiative to find her.
As a strange fragrance filled the air, Nalan Jingwen sensed something was wrong. Sure enough, Liu Qingxu, who was sitting next to him, collapsed, and the sound of a body hitting the ground could be heard outside the carriage.
"Your Majesty!"
The voice from outside the carriage came from outside the mirror pool, but it sounded somewhat weak, probably because it had inhaled some incense.
Nalan Jingwen caught Liu Qingxu as she fell, settled her down, and then got off the carriage, holding his breath.
Jingchi swayed slightly, his longsword braced against the ground, almost all his weight resting on it. The veins on his sword-wielding hand bulged, and his knuckles turned bluish-white.
Nalan Jingwen became alert and scanned the surroundings. In the desolate wilderness, there was not a single person to be seen except for them.
Suddenly, a gust of wind swept past behind her. Nalan Jingwen instinctively dodged to the side. Seeing this, Jingchi wanted to rush forward to help her, but he fell to the ground and fainted after taking only two steps.
The other party was masked, so her facial features were not visible, and their martial arts and movements were not from any organization she was familiar with. During the fight, she caught a glimpse of a familiar symbol on the inside of the other party's collar and instantly understood.
He quickly subdued her and ruthlessly trampled her underfoot. Nalan Jingwen shouted into the woods, "Nalan Yin, if you don't come out, I'll kill her!"
A seductive chuckle drifted from the woods, stirring a sense of longing in everyone.
Nalan Jingwen looked over with a sullen face and saw Nalan Yin walk out from behind the tree. Despite the blizzard, he was dressed very lightly, with large areas of skin exposed. He casually wore a loose-fitting cloak over his clothes, as if he had no bones. He walked up to her under her gaze, reached out and hugged her, burying his head in her chest.
A delicate fragrance filled the air, enveloping her in wisps and strands; she wondered what kind of fragrance he had used.
Her voice murmured, filled with deep longing.
"Sister, I miss you so much."
As soon as the man got close to her, she felt his cold body, as if she were holding a block of ice, without any warmth.
Her brows furrowed even deeper, and she pushed the person away.
"Nalan Yin, you've already used this trick once, are you going to use it a second time?"
Nalan Yin wasn't angry when she was pushed away; she just smiled, her eyes crinkling like a cunning little fox.
"Isn't it enough that it works?"
"Does my sister miss me?"
Nalan Jingwen did not reply, but reached out his hand to him.
"Antidote."
"What if I don't give it?"
"Then I'll kill her."
After saying that, Nalan Jingwen stomped his foot, and the woman let out a muffled groan.
Nalan Yin didn't even glance at the woman, her mind and eyes were entirely on Nalan Jingwen, "If sister wants to kill, then kill her, Yin'er will not stop her."
"Nalan Yin!"
Nalan Jingwen's voice turned cold.
Nalan Yin was not afraid. She stepped forward and approached Nalan Jingwen, saying, "I can have the antidote, but you must let me stay by your side these days."
Nalan Jingwen happened to have something to ask him and didn't want to delay his trip, so he agreed after a short time of consideration.
After feeding everyone the antidote and waiting until they were all awake, Nalan Jingwen turned his gaze to Nalan Yin. When she saw her looking over, Nalan Yin immediately flashed a bright, strange smile, as if she were deliberately putting on a sunny one.
Recalling the cold body in his arms just now, Nalan Jingwen's tone was anything but pleasant.
"You came out dressed so lightly, don't you know how cold it was?"
Even she was wearing thick clothes, but Nalan Yin was wearing so little. If she didn't know that Nalan Yin didn't know kung fu, she would have thought that Nalan Yin was a highly skilled kung fu master who was not afraid of the cold.
Despite her words, Nalan Jingwen still stepped forward and took his hand, intending to transfer some Xuan energy to warm him up. However, it felt like holding a block of ice. Just as she opened her mouth to say something, her hand was pulled back.
"No need, sister. I'll just put on a few more clothes and warm myself by the charcoal fire."
He then climbed into the carriage, giving Nalan Jingwen no time to refuse.
Upon hearing this, Nalan Jing, though not in a good mood, said nothing, gave instructions to set off, and then boarded the carriage.
Once he regained consciousness, Jingchi watched as the two of them boarded the carriage one after the other. He pursed his thin lips, looked down at his hands, and appeared dejected, lost in thought.
Inside the carriage.
When Liu Qingxu saw the man who suddenly came up, she subconsciously shrank into the corner. Nalan Yin also saw her and greeted her with a smile.
“I know you, Liu Qingxu.”
Liu Qingxu was a little confused. She didn't recognize the extremely handsome man in front of her. He must be one of the peach blossoms that Nalan Jingwen had mentioned. She just didn't know why he knew her.
She nodded to Nalan Yin in response. For some reason, she disliked Nalan Yin's smile; it was too fake, too eerie, a smile that was merely superficial.
She felt that Nalan Yin didn't actually want to talk to her.
After Nalan Jingwen got into the car, he attracted all of Nalan Yin's attention, as if she couldn't see him at all. She treated him like air and clung to Nalan Jingwen, her smile becoming more genuine. Liu Qingxu turned her face away and sighed helplessly.
Nalan Jingwen pulled out a coat from somewhere and tossed it to Nalan Yin. Nalan Yin took it, hugged it to her chest, sniffed it, her eyes sparkling, her tone ambiguous.
"It tastes like my sister's."
Upon hearing this, Liu Qingxu turned his head, his eyes filled with surprise.
"If you're not going to wear it, get off the plane."
Nalan Yin wasn't angry; she just stared straight at her. As she put on her coat, she was enveloped in Nalan Jingwen's scent and warmth, and the gloom in her eyes lessened somewhat.
He then pressed himself against Nalan Jingwen, wrapping his arms around her waist and burying his head in her neck, greedily inhaling her scent.
"Sister, I miss you so much."
He repeated it again, but this time, his tone was tinged with weariness and sadness.
Perhaps influenced by his sadness, Nalan Jingwen did not push him away, but simply said, "There are still people in the car."
Liu Qingxu immediately waved his hands at her repeatedly, "I'm fine, Your Highness, don't worry about me."
Nalan Yin didn't care if there was anyone in the car, and he didn't care about other people's opinions anyway. Besides, he had already found out Liu Qingxu's identity and that he wasn't an important person.
"My sister doesn't care about Yin'er at all, leaving Yin'er there all alone."
Nalan Jingwen remained silent, his face expressionless.
As he spoke, he nuzzled Nalan Jingwen's neck. When she didn't react, he rubbed his lips against her neck, moving upwards until he was about to kiss her cheek when a warm hand stopped him.
Liu Qingxu witnessed the whole process and was too shocked to speak. Her biggest concern now was whether Nalan Jingwen would kill her to cover it up.
After all, she had stumbled upon the royal family's secrets...
So when Nalan Jingwen looked over with those calm, expressionless eyes, she immediately said, "Your Highness! I'll sit outside for some fresh air; it's a bit stuffy inside!"
