Chapter 311 What's the purpose?
Chapter 311 What's the purpose?
Upon hearing Jiang Hao's words, Ma Junjie felt a surge of anger welling up inside him, which instantly intensified.
He turned to look at the group of fierce-looking burly men at the door, his eyes showing no fear whatsoever, but rather a fierce determination to confront them head-on.
"Brother Hao, I'm not leaving today! I want to see what's going on."
Upon hearing this, Jiang Hao was terrified. He cried out, slapped his thigh, and his voice was almost choked with tears.
"Ah Jie! Are you crazy? Run! You can't afford to mess with them! You really can't afford to mess with them!"
Ma Junjie glanced at Jiang Hao, then remained silent, but the determination in his eyes only intensified.
He turned around, his gaze sweeping sharply over the group of people at the door.
A dozen burly men with menacing faces blocked the entrance, their arms covered in ferocious tattoos, and the steel pipes and machetes in their hands gleamed coldly in the dim light.
But among this group of rough men stood a woman.
The woman was tall and slender, her shapely figure accentuated by a black bodycon dress and ten-centimeter high heels, which made her appear even more graceful.
She looked to be in her early twenties, but her face was as cold as ice, and her eyes held an innate arrogance and untamed spirit.
It was as if these fierce-looking, burly men were nothing more than decorations beside her.
Ma Junjie frowned slightly, his gaze lingered on her for a moment, then he walked straight towards her.
Standing a meter away from the woman, Ma Junjie asked in a deep voice.
What are you people doing?
"Blue Moon is closed for renovations and is not accepting customers. Please leave!"
No sooner had he finished speaking than two or three burly men rushed out of the crowd, their faces trembling violently. Without a word, they raised their clubs and brought them down on Ma Junjie's head.
The wind howled fiercely, clearly intending to knock Ma Junjie down with a single blow.
Jiang Hao screamed "Oh my god!" in fright and immediately closed his eyes.
But Ma Junjie didn't move an inch, not even blinking, just coldly watching the sticks being swung at him.
"stop!"
Just as the stick was about to strike Ma Junjie, the woman's voice suddenly rang out, clear and cold yet carrying an undeniable air of authority.
The burly men abruptly stopped, their clubs hanging in mid-air. They all turned to look at the woman, a flicker of resentment crossing their faces.
The next second, however, he reluctantly withdrew his hand, turned around and glared fiercely at Ma Junjie.
One of the burly men with a thick beard said to the woman,
"Sister Lin! This kid is too arrogant! I think he deserves to be taught a lesson, let's just kill him! He'll be a less eyesore!"
The woman, addressed as Sister Lin, waved her hand dismissively and said indifferently, "Step back."
The bodyguards dared not disobey, so they could only glare fiercely at Ma Junjie and retreat to the back while cursing.
Sister Lin then raised her eyes, her gaze falling on Ma Junjie. Her beautiful phoenix eyes narrowed slightly, carrying a hint of scrutiny.
She took two steps forward, her high heels clicking on the floor with a crisp, jarring sound.
As soon as she reached Ma Junjie's side, a strong perfume scent suddenly wafted towards her. The scent was luxurious and domineering, but not unpleasant; it just didn't match her cold and aloof demeanor.
Sister Lin slightly turned her head, her gaze passing over Ma Junjie's shoulder, glancing at Jiang Hao, who was slumped on the ground, his face deathly pale. Her red lips parted slightly, her voice as cold as ice.
"What is your relationship?"
Upon hearing this, Jiang Hao grasped at a straw and quickly scrambled to his feet.
Ignoring his trembling legs, he spoke before Ma Junjie could, his voice shaking.
"Sister Lin! Sister Lin! We're not related! We're really not related! We're complete strangers! I don't know him at all! Please let him go! Please let him go!"
As Jiang Hao spoke, he winked at Ma Junjie, wishing he would disappear from his sight immediately.
But Ma Junjie shook his head slightly, looked at Sister Lin, and spoke confidently and loudly.
"Hey! I don't know who you are, but let me tell you, with me here today, don't even think about hurting a hair on Brother Hao's head!"
"Your brother Hao?" Sister Lin raised an eyebrow, her eyes filled with doubt as she looked at Ma Junjie, clearly not expecting this answer.
"Yes!" Ma Junjie said firmly, his chest ramrod straight, enunciating each word clearly.
"He's my sworn brother, Ma Junjie! We're like brothers! Anyone who dares to touch him, I, Ma Junjie, will be the first to object! Even the King of Heaven himself wouldn't stand a chance!"
These words immediately caused an uproar among the bodyguards behind him.
A bald, burly man immediately rushed forward, pointing his finger at Ma Junjie and hurling insults at him.
"Kid! You fucking looking for death? How dare you talk to Sister Lin like that!"
Another tall, thin man chimed in, clapping his machete loudly.
"Damn it! How dare you talk to Sister Lin like that! Let me tell you, if you walk out of this door today, I'll change my surname to yours!"
Another burly man with a face full of scars was even more ruthless, grinning maliciously.
"So what if you walk out that door? I have plenty of ways to kill you! I'll make you disappear without a trace!"
Sister Lin raised her hand and gently interrupted the bodyguards' shouting.
She continued to stare at Ma Junjie, and a faint, ambiguous smile suddenly appeared on her icy face.
The smile was faint, yet it was enough to soften the surrounding air.
"Hey kid, what's your name?" Sister Lin asked with interest.
"I will never change my name or surname! Ma Junjie!" Ma Junjie retorted, staring back at her defiantly.
Sister Lin smiled faintly, the curve of her red lips carrying a hint of amusement, and asked again,
"So... you're really good at fighting?"
Ma Junjie didn't bother arguing with her. A disdainful smile curled at the corner of his lips, and his eyes held a hint of provocation.
"Whether you can fight or not, why don't you try and see?"
"You fucking want to die!"
"I'm going to cripple you today!"
The bodyguards had been itching to get going and were about to rush forward, their eyes filled with a murderous glint that seemed to devour Ma Junjie.
Sister Lin gave the bodyguards a cold and sharp look. Although the bodyguards were unwilling, they could only stomp their feet angrily and retreat while cursing.
Sister Lin stared at Ma Junjie, smiled, and her tone held a hint of appreciation.
"Kid, you've got guts and you're loyal too."
She abruptly changed the subject, her tone returning to its previous indifference, yet carrying an undeniable firmness.
"However, if you really want to help your brother Hao, then help him pay back that 500 million first."
"Wh...what?" Ma Junjie was taken aback and stood there stunned...
