Chapter 734 - 734: Observation Station 2, Iron Jugulis

Hearing Professor Sada's answer, Gary felt that she was telling the truth.The future Paradox Pokémon had been brought from the future to the modern era by Professor Turo, so naturally, he had been the one to name these future species.

"Alright, I've asked enough," Gary said.

"Why?"

Gary understood what she meant, but he couldn't figure out why Professor Sada would say that. He had never met Professor Turo.

"That involves research secrets. If you're willing to join us, I'll tell you," Professor Sada said.

Gary had no interest in joining the project. He already knew the origins of the Paradox Pokémon.

Although the plot of the anime wasn't exactly the same as the game, Gary was certain that both Professor Sada and Professor Turo had hoped the Paradox Pokémon could be integrated into modern society. However, they had underestimated the strength of the Paradox Pokémon. If they were allowed into the modern world, they would only destroy the modern ecosystem.

The ancient Paradox Pokémon might be somewhat easier to deal with. They had more primitive habits and might still be able to adapt to the modern world, but the future Paradox Pokémon were different.

The future Paradox Pokémon looked like transformed creatures, no matter how one viewed them. It was unclear whether they had been modified artificially or had transformed themselves.

Professor Sada, Hannah, and Garke inspected the first observation station inside and out. After backing up the previously recorded data, they cleared the old records so the station could continue recording new observations.

After lunch, Professor Sada closed the first observation station, and everyone set off for the second observation station.

The second observation station was specifically used to monitor the passage between the upper and middle layers.

Iron Bundle, Iron Thorns, and Iron Treads could not fly, and they were not good at using Rock Climb. Their only route to the upper floor was by walking up from the lower layer.

Professor Sada really wanted to know whether there were any other Paradox Pokémon besides those three.

For that reason, she also asked everyone to release their Pokémon so they could travel more easily. Fortunately, Angus's Tauros was large enough to carry both Professor Sada and Hannah.

Gary, Nick, and Garke naturally rode their own Pokémon. After two hours, they finally arrived near the second observation station.

For safety's sake, Gary also had Charizard patrol around the second observation station. After confirming that the area was safe, Angus's Tauros carried Professor Sada and Hannah to the station.

When they arrived at the entrance, Professor Sada couldn't wait to open the observation station's door. She quickly went inside to check the recent surveillance footage.

Angus and Nick sprayed Pokémon-repellent spray outside to prevent wild Pokémon from approaching.

Gary stayed inside the observation station. He helped Hannah take out the pots and pans and began preparing dinner while also watching the surveillance footage with Professor Sada.

The observation station had two months of surveillance recordings. Professor Sada quickly reviewed them at eight times the normal speed while backing up the data.

"Finished."

After they had watched the footage continuously for half an hour, a Paradox Pokémon finally appeared on the screen.

Gary and Hannah immediately looked up. The screen showed a frozen image of a black Pokémon floating in the air, surrounded by mountain walls.

"Is this... Hydreigon?" Gary asked, pretending not to recognize it.

"No. This Pokémon is called Iron Jugulis. It looks very similar to Hydreigon, but it isn't Hydreigon," Professor Sada explained.

"Iron Jugulis has also come to the upper floor?" Gary asked.
