Chapter 106 Building Fighter Jets

Chapter 106 Building Fighter Jets

"This one is for testing, including potential space combat. I need to conduct comprehensive testing," Link said. "You can build me a space-age Iron Man suit."

"Okay, no problem." Stark then hung up the call and called Bruce to get to work.

Bruce, who had been standing nearby, hesitated before speaking, "Does Lin need to take such a risk?"

Stark stopped what he was doing and looked at Bruce, saying, "Bruce, you saw the Chitauri army. They didn't all enter the passage, but I saw them."

"Jarvis, play the video."

"Yes, sir!" Jarvis played a few seconds of footage, and through the space portal, he could see a colossal object in the distance—the Chitauri mothership.

Compared to it, Vilitan is like a tadpole; the distance is vast, but the difference is obvious.

Meanwhile, the universe is filled with Velite and spacecraft.

Bruce remained silent; he hadn't seen it.

Stark added, "This is what Link and I are worried about: can we really hold them off?"

"I originally wanted to build an Iron Legion, but Jarvis couldn't control it; the number he could control was limited."

"Moreover, Link won't let me develop real artificial intelligence because it's too dangerous. Even advanced civilizations in the universe haven't created artificial intelligence. It seems like only the Kree have the highest level of intelligence."

"However, they do not use robots; the supreme intelligence does not control any weapons."

"Link offered a solution: develop several types of artificial intelligence, tailored to our individual strengths. I think that's a good idea, and I'm preparing to study it. I've just acquired some of the technology."

Bruce nodded slightly and said, "The Avengers still need you and Lin. Although I have many degrees, I really can't think of these things."

"I can't think of too much," Stark said. "After all, I've always believed I can handle everything, whether it's money or technology, I have no worries."

"But things aren't that simple. Lin's forte is psychology. He can see into people's hearts, which is the only way to make up for the Avengers' shortcomings."

"Like your nanosuits, I never thought of making them for you, but Lin did."

Bruce laughed, as he was the most qualified to speak on this matter. "Indeed, I don't need to keep him naked after Hulk comes out."

……

The two began working tirelessly, while Link told Jessica his idea, saying that he was going to go to space, but the exact time was uncertain.

However, the round trip will take several months, so she should take care of her own safety, especially making sure she doesn't leave her suit and flight skateboard behind, and that she carries her weapons.

Jessica wasn't worried about Link, after all, Link's strength was undeniable, and no one could harm him, especially since Link had even brought out the Infinity Stones.

Jessica was introduced, and now Link is wearing the Infinity Stone on his hand, since the Asgardians can't see it.

Even if they saw it, it probably wouldn't be a big problem. When they went to Asgard, they didn't mention the Tesseract, as if they had forgotten about it.

As for Nick Fury, he should smell it and let Stark deal with him.

At this moment, Nick Fury was not a Skrull, but the real Nick Fury, which Link could clearly sense.

Time flew by, and Stark finalized the design and began construction. Link also took on part of the construction work, and the two then carried out the final assembly at Avengers Headquarters.

Two months later, the first Swallow fighter jet was completed. The Avengers were very curious about it, especially Hawkeye, Black Widow and Captain America, since they couldn't participate in the creation process.

Natasha went up to take a look first, then came down and said, "It's really good. When it's mass-produced, I'll learn how to drive it first."

"No problem, this is our future fighter jet, capable of fighting in space and the atmosphere," Link said. "It uses a new element as its power core; this is an enlarged version, capable of supporting flight in space and space jumps."

"Isn't it too dangerous for you to go by yourself? Even if they can't go, I can go," Natasha said.

Link smiled and said, "It's not that having more people means you can really help each other. Sometimes it's more convenient to be alone. You can leave when you want and stay when you want, without any worries."

"Everything is unknown in the universe this time, especially the universe's currency, units, which we don't have. I need to figure out how to get some."

"What I'll do then is uncertain, so it's better to be alone. But don't worry, I've done a lot of research in Asgard, so I'm not setting off blindly."

Natasha nodded slightly and said, "In that case, remember to contact us. I will guard the communication devices at headquarters."

"No problem!" Link seemed very relaxed.

He then conducted fighter jet tests, piloting the aircraft himself. After several tests, he decided to resupply before taking off.

……

"Boom!" The fighter jet soared into the sky, heading straight out of the atmosphere. It didn't need any window of opportunity; this is the performance that a space fighter jet should have.

"Buzz..." A slight vibration caused the fighter jet's outer shell to generate high temperatures, but it did not burn and quickly burst out of the atmosphere.

Then, gravity disappeared. Link activated the gravity device, and the feeling of weightlessness vanished. "Tony, everything's fine. Now, let's head to the spatial node."

"Received, have a safe journey!" Stark's voice came through. The fighter jet's communication had been enhanced, enabling long-distance communication in space.

Link accelerated his fighter jet instantly, flying towards the nearest spatial node on the star map.

His first target was Morag, an abandoned planet that Link had found on the star map. He was going there to find the cosmic orb containing the Power Stone.

Once you get it, you can sell it for a lot of money and then use that money to order a spaceship.

Link has already designed several spaceships, all powered by new elements and equipped with space jump capabilities. He has also considered building a light-speed engine, but that would be too much of a hassle.

Furthermore, Earth is currently difficult to build on, so it would be better to use a space jump engine.

Upon arriving at the spatial node, Link initiated his first space jump, started the engine, and a hexagonal spatial window appeared in front of him. The fighter jet then plunged directly inside.

Link's body was strong enough that this kind of spatial jump caused him no discomfort whatsoever.
