Chapter 114 What is a 9-Headed Hydra?
Chapter 114 What is a 9-Headed Hydra?
Chapter 114 What is Hydra?
Link told Jessica, and then activated the Space Stone right in front of her, right across from the top floor of Stark Tower.
Link stepped inside, and Stark exclaimed in surprise, "Oh!"
When Link entered, he found Stark and Bruce on the balcony. He didn't see Pepper, presumably she was working downstairs.
After all, she wasn't like Link, leaving everything to Norman Osborn.
Link walked onto the balcony, startling Stark. "How did you get in?"
"Use it!" Link showed off the ring on his hand, which looked like it was inlaid with a sapphire.
"What is this?" Stark frowned. "It looks like a Tesseract."
"It's something from the Tesseract, called the Infinity Stone. We'll talk about that later," Link said. "I'll take you to Avengers Headquarters now. Fury sent Hill to find me."
"Really?" Stark asked, somewhat surprised. "Okay, let's go now."
"Let's go!" Link activated the Space Stone, opening a portal, and Stark curiously stepped inside.
On the other side was the Avengers headquarters. As soon as Link entered, he said, "Alfred, notify the others to assemble in the conference room."
"Yes, sir," Alfred informed the three people at headquarters.
Link and his two companions sat down immediately. When the others arrived, Natasha asked curiously, "How did you get in?"
Link said, "We'll talk about that later. Now I'm going to pick up Nick Fury. Natasha, go prepare the medical room; he's badly injured."
"The rest of you can wait here."
Link stood up and, right in front of them, activated his spatial ring. He took a step and stepped over a large dam. He looked around and saw that it was indeed quiet.
They then headed towards the air-raid shelter. The main gate had been replaced long ago; it was now just an iron gate, not a heavy blast-proof door.
However, since it is built inside the mountain, its defensive capabilities are quite good, and it is completely empty inside.
Link pushed open the door and walked inside. There were lights on, and someone had turned on the power.
He soon met Nick Fury, with another person beside him, presumably a doctor, who was also someone Nick Fury trusted.
Nick Fury asked curiously, "Didn't you come back with Hill?"
"I'm one step ahead of her, we can wait," Link said. "Do you know about Hydra?"
"I guessed it, but I don't know the specifics. However, you seem to know a lot. Is it that USB drive?" Nick Fury reacted quickly.
"Yes..." Link explained the situation, "We'll go to Avengers headquarters in a bit, and then we'll discuss how to deal with it."
"There's a medical room there, fully equipped with medicines, and it's safe enough for you to recover."
"Okay, looks like I don't need to stay here anymore. I can be more comfortable now." Nick Fury breathed a sigh of relief. He knew that Link could come and take him away, but he didn't know the specifics of how.
Maria Hill returned quickly. She was very surprised to see Link. Before she could ask, Link activated his spatial ring.
Across the street was the Avengers' medical bay, and Natasha looked at the people opposite her with curiosity.
Everyone pushed Nick Fury forward, and then the portal closed. Nick Fury asked, "The Tesseract really is broken. You took something from inside, the ring you're wearing?"
"It's a gem!" Link corrected. "Alright, you go ahead with the treatment. We need to go to a meeting. All the equipment here is usable, and you should be familiar with the people here."
"Natasha, we're going to a meeting." Link turned and left.
Natasha said to Nick Fury, "It's good that you're alive."
After saying that, he turned and left.
……
In the conference room, all the Avengers except Thor were present.
Link began by saying, "Now there's a problem. We know Hydra's plan, and now we need to consider how to end it."
"Before everyone expresses their opinions, I'll state the problem first."
"First, if S.H.I.E.L.D. collapses, then there will be no one to clean up Hydra, including what to do with the alien artifacts that S.H.I.E.L.D. collected before."
"Secondly, is Hydra merely hidden within S.H.I.E.L.D.?"
"Third, my plan is for the Avengers to establish their headquarters in outer space, regardless of Earth's politics, so we need manpower."
"These are the three questions. Please consider them carefully before making a decision. After that, we will talk to Nick Fury about the specifics. The Helicarrier used in Project Insight is at S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters. It's easy to deal with them. That's not the main issue."
After saying that, Link leaned back and took out a cigarette to smoke.
Previously, no one had thought about it that much, but now Link has raised the issue and is letting them make a choice.
So everyone was in a dilemma, since what Link said seemed to be based on reality, and Link's attitude was indifferent.
Captain America was the most hesitant. His previous idea was to disband S.H.I.E.L.D. and send all of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s information online so that everyone would know.
But what about reality?
Once S.H.I.E.L.D. is made public, then nothing will be a secret anymore. What will happen to the troubles after S.H.I.E.L.D. is disbanded?
Hydra is certainly not limited to S.H.I.E.L.D. Captain America believes he knows them very well. Through S.H.I.E.L.D.'s incubation, have they already spread all over the world?
Everyone had their own plans, but now they were hesitant. Link remained silent, not intending to interfere too much, and it would be best to make a collective decision in the end.
"Lin, what do you think?" Steve finally couldn't help but ask.
“I don’t mean to influence your judgment,” Link said. “However, there is indeed a problem. My feeling is that we don’t really understand Hydra.”
"If it were just the Red Skull from World War II, Hydra shouldn't have been able to develop to its current state; it must be more complex than that."
"This is my opinion. Even without S.H.I.E.L.D., Hydra still exists. We know nothing about its origins, formation, or purpose."
Steve asked, "Do you really think so?"
"Of course, what other reason do you have for those Hydra scientists to still be so fixated on developing within S.H.I.E.L.D. with Zola at the helm? And is Hydra developing from within or infiltrating from the outside?" Link asked again.
"To be frank, folks, we know absolutely nothing about this."
"I've looked at some of the information on Hydra. Their slogan is still 'Cut off one head, and another grows back.' Does this simply represent their ubiquitous and pervasive expansion?"
