Chapter 115 Final Conclusion

Chapter 115 Final Conclusion

What exactly is Hydra?

That's a good question. Is it an organization formed by just one Red Skull?

While Link wouldn't oppose disbanding S.H.I.E.L.D., the issues still needed to be raised so they could consider whether they had the ability to solve them.

Suddenly, everyone was caught in a dilemma, struggling to make a choice!

Link laughed and said, "Everyone, aren't you all overthinking this? It's just a Hydra."

"S.H.I.E.L.D. isn't entirely Hydra. After this revelation, Hydra will definitely be in trouble. At that time, agents who are not part of Hydra will rise up and fight back."

"Casualties are inevitable, but it's their duty."

"Most of Hydra will be exposed by then, so we can just be more careful in the future. There's no need to worry about it so much."

"Of course, S.H.I.E.L.D. will also have to pay a price, especially Nick Fury, who needs to take responsibility. He can resign as director and Maria Hill can take over."

"Furthermore, as far as I know, Nick Fury is secretly preparing a new S.H.I.E.L.D. He sensed something was wrong a long time ago, so he has been making preparations in secret."

"The only thing he didn't anticipate was that Alexander Pierce was also a Hydra."

After everyone listened, Stark asked, "Lin, how did you know?"

"Have you forgotten? I said before that as a special agent, I uncovered quite a few problems, involving enormous sums of money," Link said. "Especially the fact that the Hand and the Society possess the means of resurrection, which Nick Fury concealed."

"Coursson was in charge; he should know best. Or perhaps Clint and Natasha were involved in the raid?"

Natasha nodded and said, "Yes, we are only responsible for the raid; Coulson is in charge of handling the aftermath."

"You can ask Fury about this directly!"

Steve said, "Lin, do you think we should keep S.H.I.E.L.D."

"S.H.I.E.L.D. is said to be a global agency led by the World Security Council, but its headquarters are in the United States. Do other countries have similar agencies?" Link didn't answer, but instead asked a question.

This question stunned everyone again, and they exchanged glances, realizing it was something they hadn't considered before.

Now that Link has brought it up, everyone thought about it, and Stark immediately said, "Of course it's there."

“That’s right!” Link laughed. “We are different from interstellar civilizations. We have nearly two hundred countries on Earth. Not to mention other countries, the five permanent members of the UN Security Council certainly wouldn’t completely trust S.H.I.E.L.D..”

"After all, its foundation is the Strategic Scientific Corps, an organization of the United States."

"Therefore, the other four permanent members will inevitably form their own similar organizations. S.H.I.E.L.D. says it is dangerous, but it certainly won't affect the whole world."

"And you're overthinking it. What are we?"

Bruce tried to answer: "The Avengers?"

"That's right. When Nick Fury approached us and invited us to join, his real purpose was to deal with the alien threat," Link said. "We are not saviors, and none of you should think of yourselves as saviors."

"We are now a private organization, united to protect the Earth, rather than interfering too much in its development."

"From the very beginning, we have stated that we will not participate in politics. The development of the world is determined by the competition between those countries, which is an inevitable path for the development of civilization."

"The Avengers don't have the power to unify Earth and achieve consensus in all aspects. Before Earth's civilization develops into an interstellar civilization, what we need to do is protect the safety of Earth."

"That's why I plan to move the Avengers into space."

Natasha suddenly asked, "Lin, how did you open the spatial portal?"

She had been keeping this matter in mind all along, after all, she was a spy and an agent.

Link raised his left hand, revealing a ring inlaid with a sapphire. He said, "This is the Infinity Stone. The Tesseract is just a shell; it's this Space Stone that opens the spatial portal."

"When the universe was born, six Infinity Stones were also born, each possessing different powers."

"It includes six gems: Power, Space, Time, Soul, Spirit, and Reality. Once you collect all six, you can make your wish come true by snapping your fingers."

"..." This statement is beyond everyone's understanding and does not conform to science.

Link flipped his hand, and the Power Stone appeared in his palm. "I found this in the universe. I sold it to an immortal being in the universe, who is known throughout the universe as the Collector."

"He built our spaceship. He owns a conglomerate with considerable financial resources."

"Moreover, it is said that he has lived for billions of years, but I don't know much about the specifics."

Stark reached out to touch the Power Stone, but Link dodged immediately. "Never touch it directly with your hands. Its power is extremely violent. Humans cannot withstand its energy and will be turned to ashes if they touch it directly."

Link always wrapped himself in vibranium, just for show, so as not to stand out from the crowd.

Steve asked, "Such a powerful gem, you sold it?"

"Will this cause any problems?"

Link rolled his eyes and said, "Steve, this thing has existed in the universe for who knows how many years, and has fallen into the hands of countless people. No matter how dangerous it is, it's not something we should be concerned about."

Steve was taken aback, then realized that it was true; he had been overthinking things.

The universe has existed for a very long time, but these six gems have existed from the very beginning.

Link added, "The most dangerous thing is to bring all six gems together, because that would be too powerful."

"Now that I think about it, it makes sense why Odin placed the Tesseract on Earth. He must have collected it before, but then, fearing its power, he scattered it away."

Bruce said, "That makes sense. By selling them, you're preventing too many gems from gathering together, which is more beneficial than harmful to us. Besides, we can't control everything that happens in the universe."

"After all, Earth is too weak now, it's better not to know, but we do know that there are a lot of civilizations in the universe."

Steve nodded and said, "Let's vote. It's time to decide the fate of S.H.I.E.L.D."

Link clapped his hands and said, "Alright, then let's vote. Raise your hands if you agree to keep S.H.I.E.L.D. personnel."

Everyone raised their hands, and it was a unanimous vote. Steve then said, "We can't let Nick Fury continue to lead S.H.I.E.L.D. I don't trust him."

"He seems to have many secrets!"

Link nodded and said, "Okay, then it's unanimously approved!"
