Chapter 117 Intrusion
Chapter 117 Intrusion
Chapter 117 Intrusion
Stark, standing nearby, objected and asked, "Lin, what about me?"
Link looked at him and said, "We have three options now, but we don't actually have enough manpower."
"The first issue is the security of Avengers headquarters. Nick Fury is here. If we all leave, what will happen to his safety?"
"The second is the hangar. The space carrier is in the underground hangar. It's huge, and you're the only one who can control it, but relatively speaking, there are probably the most Hydras there."
"The third one is to follow me, because the control center is the only way to start it, so we don't know what we'll encounter there."
"Hydra hasn't taken any action yet, so they probably haven't finished their final preparations. Nick Fury wants to stop the project, which touches on their core interests; otherwise, they wouldn't want to kill him."
"But now that we've started, it's about to be activated, and those who can explode are the biggest hidden danger."
Upon hearing this, Stark realized that it wasn't that no task had been assigned to him, but rather that there weren't enough people.
Stark thought for a moment and said, "I'll go to the hangar!"
"The situation there must be even more complicated, so when should we take action?"
Link said, "Now, the sooner the better. Alfred, tell Maria Hill to go to the equipment room, and everyone go get your weapons and ammunition!"
The group arrived at the weapons room, where everyone donned nanosuits made of titanium alloy, except for Link, who wore vibranium.
He carried energy weapons, but there was no need to use them within S.H.I.E.L.D., so this time he took two pistols and a throwing knife.
He carried several magazines on his waist, then looked at everyone and said, "Are you all ready?"
"Alright!" Everyone is ready.
Link opened a spatial portal. "Captain, get in!"
Steve Rogers didn't waste any words and rushed in. Link opened a second spatial portal: "Hill, Bruce!"
Next up are Hawkeye and Stark, while Natasha has already left Avengers headquarters in her fighter jet and will arrive at S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters in a few minutes.
Link was the last one to step inside, right at the entrance to the control center.
The sudden appearance of the spatial passage put all the agents on high alert, and they all drew their weapons and aimed them at him.
Link didn't move, but waited. At that moment, the captain's voice rang out, "Everyone, I am Steve Rogers..."
Captain America spoke up, explaining the situation at S.H.I.E.L.D., and told everyone to lay down their weapons and wait for identification.
Maria Hill, with Bruce by her side, was now facing Alexander Pierce.
Pierce had considered many possibilities, the worst being that the Avengers would come knocking on his door, but he couldn't imagine how they would come directly to his office.
He asked in surprise, "The Cosmic Cube?"
"You have no right to ask questions now. You are already a prisoner. Or do you want to meet Hulk?" Maria Hill did not dare to be careless at all, after all, the other party was the former director of S.H.I.E.L.D.
With Stark, Natasha, and Clint all in place, S.H.I.E.L.D. agents now have only two options.
Link, already holding two pistols and aiming them at the control room, said, "Gentlemen, if you are real S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, then don't make any moves, just put your hands on your heads and lie face down."
Sharon Carter immediately spoke up, saying, "Everyone, listen to the captain's orders."
After saying that, he lay down and then covered his head with his hands.
She is Peggy Carter's niece, a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, and definitely not Hydra.
Upon hearing his words, some people immediately lay down, covering their heads with their hands, leaving the person holding the gun standing out too much.
Link laughed and asked, "Are you Hydra?"
"..." These people are Hydra. What choice do they have now?
They were caught in a dilemma. The other party was Link, who was also a former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent. This was no secret.
And now he's an Avenger, an Avenger fighting aliens!
"Bang bang..." Just then, someone fired a shot from behind Link.
The bullets struck the vibranium suit, causing it to lose momentum and fall directly to the ground, while the Hydra figures in front of them opened fire.
Link, of course, didn't hold back, "Bang bang..."
One shot, one kill, all hitting the head, instantly wiping out the Hydra in the control room. "Everyone stay still."
Link called out, then turned around and saw that the person was none other than Brock Rumlow, who was accompanied by several people in civilian clothes who were clearly not agents.
"Bang bang..." Link emptied his magazine in an instant, and the Hydra members were killed.
But Brock Rumlow survived. The guy was cunning; when he saw Link shift his gun, he immediately hid behind an Extremis soldier.
Link tossed his dual pistols into the air, and the Extremis charged forward.
"Whoosh whoosh..." The number of flying knives was too many to see; all that could be heard was the sound of them cutting through the air.
Several Extremis were hit in the head, throwing knives stuck in their foreheads as they fell backward. Brock Rumlow turned and ran, and Link gave him his last throwing knife, which hit him directly in the lower back, in the spine area.
"Ah~" With a scream, he fell to the ground, but he didn't die. Link didn't think about killing him because he knew quite a lot.
As a result, his lower body was paralyzed.
The two pistols fell to the ground, and Link caught them and immediately changed the magazines.
Several Extremis warriors had already stood up, drawn the blades from their foreheads, and fired, "Bang, bang..."
Link activated rapid fire, emptied the magazines of both pistols, and immediately reloaded. All the previous bullets were aimed at his knees, as their recovery would take time.
Then the bullet is fired into a person's body, and the magazine is changed.
The battle wasn't just on his end. Hawkeye controlled the tarmac, and many Hydra agents were rushing towards the Quinjet. He fired arrows to prevent them from boarding the aircraft.
If they get up there, then destroy them along with the fighter jets. "Boom..."
One of the Extremis exploded, shattering all the surrounding glass and affecting his companions, followed by a series of explosions.
Fortunately, their location was quite open, and no one was affected.
Link emptied the magazine in his belt, then turned and said, "Men, grab your weapons and surround this place. Don't go anywhere."
After Link finished speaking, he walked away and then began to clean up the surrounding area.
Stark was being besieged, and sure enough, most of the attackers were Hydra agents. All the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents were lying on the ground, looking for cover. Stark, naturally, didn't hold back and started to fight back.
