Chapter 150 Examination
Chapter 150 Examination
Chapter 150 Examination
Link thought for a moment and said, "I want the two of you to go to the space headquarters, but your main task will still be studying."
"The space headquarters is currently relatively weak, although the main battles there are between fighter jets, but we must be prepared. Your capabilities are well-suited for that location."
Just then, Natasha and Gamora walked in. "Hi, Lin!"
Natasha greeted him, "Are you sure they can do it?"
Link nodded and said, "They've become familiar with their abilities, so further training won't be very effective. What's left is mostly learning. I plan to send them to Space Headquarters."
"Learn more knowledge and become familiar with some equipment."
"We must consider the possibility of being stranded in space in the future. Wherever we end up, we should always familiarize ourselves with the technology and equipment."
"Learn some basic common sense about the universe."
Natasha said, "That's true, then let them go!"
Link looked at the two of them and said, "Go pack your things, I'll take you upstairs."
The two excitedly ran off to pack their luggage, while Natasha said again, "I was originally going to have a match with Gamora, but now that you're here, I'll leave it to you."
"I'm going to check on the twins!"
"Okay!" Link did not refuse.
Gamora turned to watch Natasha leave and immediately said to Link, "I'm not someone they don't know anything about. You can withstand the power of four Infinity Stones, but an Earthling's body can't."
"Oh, what are you trying to say?" Link knew he couldn't hide it from someone familiar with the Infinity Stones. "You're not trying to threaten me, are you?"
"No, I want to ask why you didn't just go and kill Thanos?" Gamora asked.
"I don't know his strength, and I have four Infinity Stones with me. What if I lose?" Link asked rhetorically.
Gamora hadn't considered this issue; she was always thinking about revenge. "Indeed, I hadn't thought of that."
"Don't let hatred blind you. We must carefully consider the consequences of going to war with Thanos. We can't risk the entire Earth," Link said. "Of course, waiting like this is also a problem."
"It's really not good to always be the center of attention, but it's not easy to find opportunities either."
"If there is an opportunity, then we must strike decisively and kill the opponent without giving them any chance."
If there were a yellow sun, Link wouldn't be worried and could easily launch an attack to eliminate Thanos. However, without a yellow sun, he would have to...
Gamora nodded and said, "I understand, but Thanos has his eye on you."
"It's alright!" Link shook his head. "If he dares to come, I'll make sure he doesn't leave alive."
"Alright, now let me see what you're capable of!"
Gamora drew her sword, and Link engaged her in battle. Gamora had been trained by Thanos since childhood, and her strength lay in her combat skills, while Link's speed and power were unmatched by her.
So, Gamora was basically on the offensive, while Link focused on defense until Gamora was exhausted.
The twins had already packed their things, and Link then took them to space headquarters, leaving Peggy and Steve to look after them and find someone to tutor them.
Link returned home before dinner, where Jessica and Alyssa were making dinner together. They seemed to be having a good chat, but the coffee table was missing, so they probably fought over it.
After all, Jessica's first boyfriend was killed by her mother, but the two gradually reminisced about their past life.
After dinner, Elisa said her goodbyes. There were people waiting for her, and she hoped to go back and share her joy.
Dr. Carl Marus and Elisa had been together for many years and had developed feelings for each other. Now they could finally be together without any reservations.
Link asked McCall to take Alyssa back and arranged to visit her a few days later.
……
Carl Marus was very worried. He didn't know how Alyssa was doing. He knew Alyssa's situation best, and if she lost control of her emotions, the consequences could be very serious.
But he was just an ordinary person and couldn't stop Elisa at all.
Suddenly, he heard the sound of a car outside. He hurriedly got up and rushed out. A Rolls-Royce Phantom was parked in front of his house, which surprised him slightly.
However, when he saw Elisa get out of the car, he immediately became excited, "Elisa~"
"Karl!" Elisa rushed over, and the two embraced.
McCall drove away silently, leaving the two of them gazing at each other for a moment. Alyssa exclaimed excitedly, "I'm healed!"
She ripped off her wig. "Look, my hair is starting to grow back, and my emotions won't get out of control anymore."
"Really?" Karl Marus immediately reached out and stroked Elisa's head. "So, it really is the Osborn Group?"
"It's Jessica's husband," Alyssa said. "He's a genius. He developed the serum and completely cured me."
"Jessica and I have been reunited."
They had so much to talk about. Once inside the house, Elisa recounted the whole story. Karl Marus was overjoyed. Locking Elisa up every night was his greatest torment.
Elisa can now sleep soundly until dawn, which is the happiest thing for her.
……
Three days later, Jessica made a phone call first, and then drove with Link to Elisa and Carl's house.
The mother and daughter went inside, while Link and Carl talked outside. "Dr. Marus, do you still want to work?"
Karl thought for a moment and said, "Of course, but wouldn't that cause you trouble?"
"No problem, the Osborn Group isn't afraid of trouble. We specialize in drug development, and you can lead a team," Link said. "However, we shouldn't develop that previous drug; its side effects were too dangerous."
"I don't want too many superhumans to appear on Earth, as this is detrimental to the development of Earth's technology."
"We must stay on the right path and, over time, achieve a leap forward in human civilization as a whole."
"In a technologically underdeveloped world, the existence of extraordinary beings can easily lead to various problems, and the abnormal growth of humans is extremely detrimental to the development of the Earth."
Karl asked, "Is this conclusion you reached by referring to extraterrestrial civilizations?"
"Yes, the development of civilization follows certain patterns," Link said. "Population is the biggest problem. With the development of technology and medicine, average life expectancy will continue to increase, and I believe you understand the possibility of a population explosion."
