Chapter 153 Preparations

Chapter 153 Preparations

Thanos's gaze fell back on Earth. Now that someone was offering help, even though he didn't know the other party's purpose, as long as he could achieve his goal, then everything else was not a problem.

With the plan finalized, all that's needed now is to implement it. Thanos's warships have begun preparations for battle, and this time he will launch a full-scale attack.

He didn't care how many men he sacrificed; what he needed to do now was eliminate the obstacles. So he assembled all his forces, and the massive mothership slowly started up and then accelerated away from the base.

……

Suddenly, the Ancient One had a sudden urge to panic. She frowned and activated the Time Stone, then saw a huge shadow looming over the Earth.

She began to examine the specifics, which revealed countless possibilities: the Avengers battling their enemies.

However, it's hard for her to see what will happen later. The reason she doesn't teach Link magic is because she can't see Link's future.

She couldn't see anything about Link's future, so she concluded that Link was too powerful for the Time Stone to explore.

And it's the same now!

But why would Link, with his strength, feel flustered?

She hesitated for a moment, then opened a portal and appeared in Link's house.

"Hmm?" It was daytime, and Link was lying on the outdoor terrace sunbathing when he suddenly sensed something, turned his head, and thought, "The Sorcerer Supreme?"

"I suddenly had a whim and looked into the future. A huge shadow is approaching Earth," the Ancient One said.

Link frowned and asked, "Is it dangerous?"

"Yes, it is dangerous!" the Ancient One said. "However, because of your great power, there are many things I cannot see clearly."

"The Infinity Stones are not omnipotent; they are far too powerful. They represent the present and future."

"But I feel really bad!"

"A massive shadow?" Link thought for a moment and said, "It's either the Celestials, a large spaceship, or even a mothership."

"Now that we've dealt with the threat to Earth, the Celestials shouldn't fight us to the death. So it's Thanos. His mothership is enormous, and if he launches a full-scale attack, the danger will indeed be considerable."

"However, it's not enough to threaten Earth, and how dare he?"

"He's not stupid, does he have some way to deal with me?"

At this point, Link raised his left hand, revealing four gems of four different colors, radiating a captivating glow.

"He must be quite confident to come, so you must be careful," the Ancient One warned. "I can't see much, especially about you."

Link nodded and said, "I'll gather the Avengers now."

With the Ancient One gone, Link began to gather all the Avengers online for a meeting.

"Lin, what happened?" Stark asked first after everyone was there.

Link said, "The ancient guardians of Earth just told me that a huge shadow is approaching Earth."

"Wait, the ancient guardians, are they the ones you guessed were there before?" Stark was taken aback at first, then hurriedly asked.

“That’s right!” Link nodded and said, “They are mages and possess the Time Stone, constantly fighting against the invasion of the multiverse.”

"Okay, I didn't understand. Where are the others?" Stark was completely confused. "Now there are mages appearing?"

"The wizards have existed for over a thousand years, and the multiverse is quite different from our universe. The most frequent invader is the Dark Lord Dormammu, who has been trying to pull Earth into his dark universe," Link explained.

"These universes are different from the one we are sitting in; they are filled with darkness and have no light at all."

"This is similar to the multiverse, where hell and heaven both exist."

"And these are the kinds of opponents that mages face, so they generally don't interfere in the world of ordinary people, and Odin, the god-king of Asgard, doesn't directly rule the earth."

"Do you understand now?"

"..." Everyone suddenly realized, but then Bruce complained, "Why is our Earth so dangerous?"

"..." Link was not sure how to answer that question.

Stark then asked, "So, when did you make contact with them?"

"Just recently, there was a huge crisis inside Earth. There is a Celestial race in the universe, and you all know about the giant creature's head in the Void," Link explained.

"That is the head of a Celestial, and their birth is unlike any other."

"The Celestials place their seeds on a planet, which must be a planet with life. When the number of intelligent life on the planet exceeds a certain threshold, the Celestial seed will hatch into a Celestial."

"Soul and wisdom are his nourishment, and there is a seed of a god inside the earth. Because I possessed the Space Stone, I sent the seed away."

"..." The Avengers fell silent again. Earth was indeed too dangerous.

Bruce then asked, "Lin, if gods are born, what will happen to Earth?"

Will all of humanity be destroyed?

"It's not just humans; their size is so enormous that if they were born, the Earth would be bursting apart, and all life would perish," Link said. "Therefore, even with the risk of war with the gods, I must send them away."

Everyone nodded in agreement. This wasn't a matter of discussion or negotiation; it was a matter of life and death!

"Too dangerous!" Wanda muttered under her breath.

However, everyone still heard the voice. Link changed the subject and said, "Alright, now we need to prepare for battle. We don't know who is coming this time yet."

"But I think it should be Thanos and his fleet, so we need to investigate them step by step in advance."

"First, Natasha, you will command the Avengers to guard the space node. Once the giant mothership appears, no matter who it is, attack it immediately," Link said. "If it's related to us, they will notify us beforehand."

"Furthermore, I don't believe that the planets we've visited before will come to Earth."

"Peggy, Space Headquarters, be on high alert. If Thanos's fleet appears, deploy all fighter jets immediately."

"Infiltrate the battlefield from the flank!"

"The main Avengers members will remain at Earth headquarters. Depending on the situation, I can open a spatial portal."

Everyone nodded in agreement. Not all of them, as key members, could pilot fighter jets; that wasn't their forte. They would decide based on the situation in the battle.

Even the Ancient One sensed danger. Link couldn't understand what could possibly threaten him.
