Chapter 27 Completing the Mission

Chapter 27 Completing the Mission

Chapter 27 Completing the Mission

Link simply left his phone number, but not many people called. Link would ask a few questions on the phone, especially about the other person's resume, and then search for it in S.H.I.E.L.D.'s database.

S.H.I.E.L.D.'s database is enormous, and it even has access to the databases of the FBI and CIA, so none of these people can escape Link's scrutiny.

Some of them were capable, but they had some bad pasts, so Link simply passed them over.

Anyway, the car would take two months to arrive, so he wasn't in a hurry. The key now was how to keep an eye on Madam Gao.

We can now discontinue following Langley Osley's storyline, and we don't need to follow Wilson Fisk's storyline either, as his affairs are outside the scope of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s management.

Link called Coulson. "Coulson, I've found out who's behind Fisk."

"Oh?" Coulson perked up. "Who is it?"

"Alexandra Reid, who appeared once at that gambling game in Las Vegas before, and Mrs. Gao, a Chinese woman, who appeared at the poker game organized by Fisker a few days ago," Link said; "They should be from the same organization."

"However, Alexandra doesn't show up often. According to Fisk, she doesn't like to appear in public. This woman gives me a feeling that she is unfathomable."

"As for Madam Gao, she has a drug manufacturing plant in Hell's Kitchen, and she has formed a supply chain with Fisk and others."

"Based on the evidence Langley previously concealed, they used United Construction Company to launder money."

"However, it is true that the ownership of Hell's Kitchen was acquired. There are some strange things about this, and I haven't found out the specifics yet."

"I'll be keeping an eye on Mrs. Gao from now on. Fisk's problems are all normal criminal issues."

Coulson listened attentively, surprised that Link had grasped the whole situation so quickly. Of course, there was still one last detail that hadn't been uncovered: what exactly were the forces cooperating with Fisk planning to do?

"Most of the funds come from island nations. Aren't there any island nation people here?" Coulson asked.

Link said, "I haven't made contact with her yet, but keeping an eye on Madam Gao should reveal something, since I'm all alone."

"Understood. Keep up the good work and try to uncover their ultimate goal." Coulson encouraged him. Link was right; he was just one person.

However, this was also the director's intention. Agents like Hawkeye and Black Widow operate independently and possess strong operational and intelligence-gathering capabilities. Link's direct promotion to Level 6 agent was intentional on the director's part.

To see if he can reach the level of Hawkeye and Black Widow, Nick Fury is still thinking about this as he becomes a member of the Avengers in the future.

He had proposed the plan before, but it was rejected by the World Security Council. So why would this guy give up?

Just like how he secretly built safe havens and bases and misappropriated S.H.I.E.L.D. funds, Nick Fury was essentially frightened by the Kree fleet.

……

Coulson turned and reported Link's discovery to Nick Fury. Nick Fury's remaining eye lit up; another large sum of money was beckoning to him.

"Very good, Lin's intelligence gathering skills are impressive." Nick Fury was quite satisfied. "By the way, the previous operation wasn't exposed, was it?"

"No, we did it secretly. The funds have already been transferred through a loop and entered a secret account," Coulson said. "Lanley Osley won't find out."

"Well, don't let anyone else in the department find out. I'm going to use this money to build a secret base." Nick Fury trusted Coulson the most, but he didn't promote him much, keeping him at level seven.

Maria Hill, a Level 9 agent and Nick Fury's second-in-command, is the official successor to the director of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Phil Coulson, on the other hand, was Nick Fury's chosen successor from the secret base; he was a man who took things one step at a time.

……

Link was secretly monitoring Madam Gao and discovered that she spent most of her daytime hours in her factory.

She uses blind people to deliver goods, and was originally transported by Russian taxis, but now Vladimir is busy avenging his brother and searching everywhere for Daredevil.

The islander's letter arrived; he had come to see Mrs. Gao. Mrs. Gao was very concerned about Fisk's private affairs, believing that they would affect their so-called career.

The letter allowed Link to complete his discovery of the islanders, which he then reported to Coulson. Coulson was very satisfied, but Link was alone and couldn't be in two places at once.

He was considering increasing manpower, but at that moment Link discovered that Madam Gao had gone to see Alexandra. Link was carrying a set of recording equipment and listening from a distance in the car.

This is a long-range audio recording device, capable of eavesdropping from a distance. Alexandra was feeding pigeons in a square, while Mrs. Gao sat beside her, somewhat in awe of it.

Link was pleased with their conversation, as the mission was accomplished.

The reason the Hand fully supports Fisk is simple: they are searching for dragon bones. The five fingers of the Hand are all ancient monsters who have lived for a very long time, and the secret to their longevity is the dragon bones. They can even use the dragon bones to resurrect the dead.

However, the dragon skeletons they possessed had been depleted over hundreds of years, and based on the clues they were searching for, they discovered that there should be a complete dragon skeleton beneath Hell's Kitchen in Manhattan.

Therefore, they need to acquire a large number of Hell's Kitchen properties, not for development, but for digging deeper, where the keel is buried extremely deep and is enormous.

They need to dig deep, and in multiple locations, until they find the keel.

Alexandra's body was starting to give out, so they were in a hurry. Even Fisk having a girlfriend was considered a waste of time for them.

Link transcribed the recording and sent it to Coulson. Coulson was stunned for a moment after listening to it, and then called Link.

"Link, is this true?" Coulson asked.

"It should be true, because there's no logical problem. The only question is whether it's really possible to achieve immortality. However, this news is best kept secret; it shouldn't even spread within the department." Link warned, "If too many people find out, the world will go crazy."

"The temptation of immortality is too great, especially for politicians and capitalists; they will stop at nothing to achieve it."

"If the dragon skeleton is located beneath Hell's Kitchen and is extremely large, then Hell's Kitchen will collapse once it is unearthed."
