End of Chapter 93

Link had to ask, "Tony, do you have a satellite?"

"Oh right!" Stark then remembered that Stark Industries had satellites.

"Jarvis, immediately adjust the satellite angle and lock onto the enemy spaceship's location using the traction beam you just used."

"Yes, sir." Jarvis began to act, and soon Tony Stark had his face changed.

A massive, ring-shaped spaceship was accelerating away from Earth, then suddenly disappeared.

"They're gone!" Stark said. "It's a strange shape, a ring-shaped spaceship."

Why don't they just attack directly?

Thor said, "It should be a small spaceship carried by the Thanos mothership."

"Who is Thanos?" Steve Rogers asked.

"A powerful being in the universe, to whom the Chitauri submit, he first and foremost possesses a vast military force," Thor said. "He frequently seeks out planets and then slaughters half of the intelligent life on them."

"Every civilization in the universe calls him Thanos, and even some advanced civilizations dare not provoke him."

"This time it seems more like a test, a probe to see if the Rainbow Bridge in Asgard has been repaired. Loki must have told him that the Rainbow Bridge has been destroyed."

"That's why he dared to come!"

Link was also pondering this. The Ancient One was still alive. Was Thanos testing the Ancient One?

If it was a test of the Ancient One, then sending Ebony Maw would make perfect sense, since mages generally don't care about invasions by alien armies.

Therefore, only by sending Ebony Maw can they truly test the Ancient One's attitude.

Thanos knew about the Ancient One; that's for sure, given that Kamar-Taj has existed for a very long time and many people in the universe know about her.

"Buzz..." A large number of Quinjet fighters landed in the sky. Coulson, wearing the Iron Monger suit, stepped down, with Nick Fury following behind.

Sure enough, something seemed to be missing. Now I realize it was Coulson, the guy who didn't come with me earlier.

Nick Fury was still holding back, but Link didn't care and just watched them rush toward the machine developed by Dr. Sevig.

"Director, the Tesseract is missing." The S.H.I.E.L.D. agent reported immediately upon seeing the empty machine.

"Scatter and search immediately." Nick Fury's expression turned serious.

Stark landed with Hawkeye and then asked Thor, "Gentlemen, have you seen the Tesseract?"

Link said, "After losing stability, I was trying to rush forward, but suddenly there was an energy burst, my flying skateboard malfunctioned, and I had to land."

"However, the spatial passage was closed at that time, so I never went to check it again."

Stark said, "Yes, after destroying my building, I rushed over to deal with that alien."

Nick Fury turned to Hawkeye, who shook his head and said, "I was supporting Thor at the time."

"Chief!" someone suddenly shouted, "We've found some fragments!"

Nick Fury rushed over, stared at the fragment in disbelief, and asked, "What kind of fragment is this?"

"It might be from the Tesseract, with gamma rays involved, and the energy level is very high." This was a S.H.I.E.L.D. technician. "Perhaps it's broken."

"Thor, do you know him?" Nick Fury turned to look at Thor.

Thor paused for a moment, then said, "I'm not too sure about that. The Tesseract was originally in Asgard, but my father put it on Earth."

"I don't know the specific reason, and I've never used it before. I don't know if it will break."

Nick Fury was incredulous. After all, they had the Tesseract for many years and were preparing to develop weapons, but now everything was ruined.

Broken!

"Keep searching for more fragments, seal off the entire surrounding area, and piece together a shape for me," Nick Fury said unwillingly.

"Yes, Chief!" The technicians began searching with their equipment. It shouldn't be too difficult, since there were strong residual gamma rays.

Link then said, "Director Fury, if there's nothing else, I'll head back now. I need to check on my girlfriend."

"Okay, those in New York can go back now." Nick Fury nodded.

Link turned and left, got back into his car, drove straight out of Stark Tower, and then said to Stark, "Tony, remember to exchange technologies. You can come to the Osborn Building tomorrow night."

"Damn it, your building is far from here, it must not have been damaged." Stark only realized this at this moment.

Link waved goodbye to everyone, then drove away. He soon encountered the NYPD at the front line, showed his identification, and was then allowed to pass.

Upon arriving at the "gym," they opened the door and found Jessica and the others there, including Osborn and his son.

"Alright, that's all settled. Norman, you can go back now. Our building should be undamaged," Link said.

"That's good. But Link, you're really something else." Norman Osborn said, then smiled and drove away with his son and driver.

Link then said, "Frank, McCall, please take us back to the building!"

"Yes, sir!" Link took the flying skateboard out of the trunk and placed it in the trunk of the Rolls-Royce. It could no longer transform back into a ring; it could only be nano-sized.

As for the vehicle, it was undamaged, but a lot of weapons were used up. However, there was a problem: the bullets were not powerful enough.

Moreover, the ammunition was too scarce, making it unsuitable for prolonged combat, or even for fighting aliens.

Link considered taking out his energy pistol, since bullets were too troublesome. Of course, there was no rush, and he estimated that there wouldn't be any problems for a long time.

Back at the Osborne Building, the two took the elevator back to the top floor, where they found it unaffected. Link took the skateboard down to the studio and had Alfred repair it.

"Alfred, close the workshop and prepare for energy testing," Link said.

"Yes, sir!" Alfred immediately shut down the studio.

Link then removed his suit, and the nanosuit receded like a tide, but in its place, a ring with a blue gemstone formed on Link's left middle finger.

"Buzz..." A surge of energy entered Link's body, but Link didn't react much to it, because this energy wasn't much for him.

He now understood how to use the Infinity Stones and the basic principles of the Infinity Gauntlet.
