Chapter 1402 - 1376: A Dream Come True
Su Wanyi is the love of Ye Chen’s life. Anyone with designs on her is courting death.Since he couldn’t kill Baldy, he decided to give him a severe punishment so that he would never harm another girl again.
Baldy stared at Ye Chen in terror, not knowing how he would be dealt with.
Ye Chen lifted his foot and kicked Baldy’s sensitive area.
"Ahhh!"
A scream echoed through the warehouse.
Ye Chen knew that this hurt Baldy more than killing him would have.
"This is a warning to you. If you dare provoke me, next time, I won’t be so lenient," Ye Chen said coldly.
Baldy was in too much pain to speak. He thought this was worse than death.
Ye Chen squatted next to the writhing Baldy and reached into his pocket.
Baldy’s face twisted in fear, unsure what else Ye Chen intended to do.
But he couldn’t speak due to the pain.
Seeing Ye Chen pull a phone from his pocket, Baldy relaxed a little.
Ye Chen called 120 for emergency services; he didn’t want anyone to die.
"Hello, someone here is injured and needs emergency care. Please hurry, the address is..." Ye Chen said into the phone.
Baldy was a bit touched to see Ye Chen calling for help for him.
Having witnessed Ye Chen’s ruthlessness, Baldy had no thought of seeking revenge.
Baldy wasn’t stupid; he knew it was best to avoid someone like Ye Chen.
"If you want to seek revenge, I’m always ready," Ye Chen said as he placed the phone next to Baldy.
He didn’t call from his own phone to avoid causing trouble for himself.
"Don’t worry, even if I had the guts, I wouldn’t dare. Thank you for calling for help. We’ve become acquainted despite the fight. If you ever need me, just say it, and I’ll comply," Baldy said gratefully.
"Take care," Ye Chen replied before leaving.
He exited the warehouse, got into his sports car, and drove off quickly.
Ye Chen knew the ambulance would arrive soon, and he didn’t want to be seen.
Soon, an ambulance came and took Baldy away. Fortunately, Ye Chen called quickly enough to keep Baldy out of danger, but Baldy could no longer do harmful things.
At this moment, Ye Chen returned home, gently opened the door, and tiptoed inside, afraid of waking Su Wanyi.
However, he found the bedroom light still on; Su Wanyi had not yet slept.
"Hubby, you’re back," Su Wanyi ran out when she heard the noise.
"Wife, why aren’t you asleep yet? Don’t you have to be at the company early tomorrow?" Ye Chen asked.
"I couldn’t sleep because you weren’t back," Su Wanyi replied.
"Alright, I’m back now. Let’s sleep," Ye Chen said, walking over to Su Wanyi.
Su Wanyi had been fighting off sleep, but seeing Ye Chen back, she immediately felt sleepy.
She fell into a deep sleep in Ye Chen’s arms.
The next day, before Ye Chen woke up, Su Wanyi had already left the house.
Of course, before leaving, she made Ye Chen a loving breakfast and reminded him to eat.
After waking up, Ye Chen checked the time; it was already 8:30. He rushed to the bathroom to wash up and dressed, ready to leave.
He suddenly saw the note Su Wanyi left, which read: "Honey, the sandwich is ready. Make yourself a cup of coffee and be sure to eat breakfast."
Reading the lovely handwriting, Ye Chen felt a warm sensation in his heart.
Not having time to make coffee, he grabbed the sandwich and ran out the door.
Ye Chen got into his car, eating his sandwich while driving. He was in a hurry because he had a contract signing appointment with Wang Hao in the morning.
He was very punctual and disliked others being late, even more so, himself.
The sports car sped along the road, and Ye Chen dialed a number.
The recipient was thrilled to see his call and quickly answered.
"Song Li, get a contract ready for me. I’ll be at the company in about twenty minutes," Ye Chen said.
"Alright, President Ye, I got it," Song Li replied with a smile.
She didn’t expect Ye Chen to personally call her, even if it was about work.
"Okay, see you later," Ye Chen said and then hung up.
After talking with Ye Chen, Song Li felt more energized and worked enthusiastically.
All night, Wang Hao and Zhang Ying were immersed in joy they never imagined experiencing being helped by a benefactor.
It truly felt like the clouds had cleared to reveal the moon.
Initially, the two worried about surgery costs, as it was a large amount. Wang Hao was a university graduate, while Zhang Ying was still a student. How could they have such income?
Yesterday evening, Ye Chen not only gave him a card but also asked him to go to Star Media Company in the morning.
Wang Hao arrived early at the company entrance. He thought for such matters, not only could he not be late, but he must be early to make a good impression.
Suddenly, his phone rang. He answered, "Mr. Ye, I’m already at the company entrance."
"Okay, wait for me a bit; I’ll be there soon," Ye Chen said.
Wang Hao looked into the distance and saw a sleek sports car approaching.
In no time, the sports car reached him and stopped.
A young man got out, and Wang Hao immediately recognized him as Ye Chen, who had given him the bank card yesterday.
"Hello, Mr. Ye," Wang Hao greeted politely.
"Wang Hao, have you been waiting long?" Ye Chen asked with a smile.
"No, Mr. Ye," Wang Hao replied.
Then he continued to ask, "Mr. Ye, why did you call me here?"
"Come, let’s talk inside the company," Ye Chen said and walked towards the company entrance.
Wang Hao followed behind, the two walking one behind the other.
Along the way, employees greeted Ye Chen with, "Good morning, President Ye," which made Wang Hao realize this young man was part of the company’s management.
Yet, Wang Hao could never have imagined that Ye Chen was actually the owner of the company.
Ye Chen took him out of the elevator and directly to an office, entering inside.
"Please have a seat," Ye Chen said with a smile.
Just as Wang Hao was about to speak, Ye Chen straightforwardly said, "Wang Hao, I want to train you to become a singer. Are you willing?"
Hearing Ye Chen’s words, Wang Hao was stunned.
He never imagined that Ye Chen’s purpose for calling him over was for this.
This was what he had always dreamed of.
